Everyone (except Hiller) was a non-factor in game 5, so I don't really count that.

Scratching Bennett for Raymond would be insane if you ask me.

I wonder if Bennett is still feeling some effects from the Hamhuis hit (still bugs me that there was no supplementary discipline for that head shot).

Bennett has been making an impact all series. I would seriously be scratching my head if he sat.

Unless May Ray went to Bob and guaranteed 3 goals tonight.

if the hitmen lose in Brandon Friday I would imaging Kanzig would be recalled to the Flames.

Anyone more familiar with him? Do you think he has a chance to slot in as a physical 6-7 d man for the playoff run?

I went to 2 hitmen playoff games against Kootney and he looked good, not fast by any means however he used his body well

Ferland made an unexpected impact against the Canucks.

If you had to make a guess on a player to make the most impact against the Ducks, who do you think it'd be? My guess would be Colborne.

No, Wotherspoon is far ahead of Kanzig in development and played less than 4 mintues in Game 6.

Ramage and Kulak are also way ahead of Kanzig.

Kanzig needs at least 2 full seasons in the AHL before he's even close to playing in the NHL.

No chance in heck Kanzig sees 1 minute of ice-time.

Wotherspoon & Potter are far more ready than Kanzig, and those guys already play sparse shifts.

And if Diaz is now traveling with the team, perhaps he is close.

ya, I agree no way we see Kanzig this year. There will be other callups before him. He is an intriguing prospect though.

My guess would be Jooris. The guy forechecks like an animal, and he's going to get rewarded for his tenacity.

My money is on Jones. Played very well in round 1 and still seems to be sliding underneath the radar going in to round 2.

Honestly, I would be far more concerned with the two major suicide passes Bennett's own teammates set him up for in that series. The kid has the speed, skill and tenacity, but he has not learned how fast the NHL game is yet, and his teammates aren't helping.

Kanzig looked unimpressive at the Hitmen games I went to this year.

He certainly wasn't the "impact player" we saw early on, but I'm not sure he was bad either. At this point, he should only be scratched if Hartley thinks he needs to "see" the game from the press box to help once he gets inserted into line up again the next game, or if he's hurt, or if it gets to the point where Hartley truly believes one of the other scratches will actually provide more (and I don't think it's gotten to that point).

This is the interesting part about starting a prospect in the playoffs, they are going to go through some pretty big up and down swings on performance, we just don't often experience them with the microscopic focus and pressure of a playoff series.
