Bennett - Backlund - Colborne very effective. Like the looks of this line. Might be something to carry through to next year.

Good to see the second line stepping up as Vancouver are clearly concentrating all their efforts into shutting down the top line.

Thank god the period is over and flames are in the game. Totally dominated. Flames ate given a lecture of playoffs hockey. Sam Bennet seems like the only forward able to do anything.

Yep, the BBC line is our best.. right now anyway. I sure hope Mony is okay.

I know it's been said to death but Hughson can go climb a wall of dicks. This game would be instantly better with Ball and Hrudey.

I tried to give CBC the benifit of the doubt... but Hughson made me change the channel 5 mins in.

If anyone has access to the NBC feed the commentary has been excellent. Really took the edge off to not here the homerism.

It is awesome to have Flames playoff hockey again! That was a scary period though, they are very lucky to have not given up a goal.

Go Flames Go!

Also, that number 63 is a good player.

Oh I completely agree it was a brain fart by Ferland, but Russell had taken three or four strides following the dump in and then gets hit....

He did. I still rather a guy who always try to act tough to back it up. At least Ferlands ready to play.

The homerism doesn't phase me. The pain in his voice when we score is more than gonna make up for it.

Unfortunately game 2 and 3 are CBC simulcasts

Well hey, we're tied after playing what is typically our worst period.

I'll take that.

Hit looked fine. Inexperienced by Ferland, good on him for sticking up for Russell, just inexperienced.
