You are pretty much the CP poster boy for this exact thing.

Has there ever been an internet message board trade proposal that came to fruition? It isn't a lack of hockey knowledge that stops people from clogging the board with myriad inane propositions.
Most people here avoid making trade proposals because:
A) we aren't the general managers of NHL franchises
B) this isn't HF
C) we want to clear the airwaves so real rumours and trade news can be shared

With what? Highly doubtful they move their 1st, and they just traded their 2nd for Timmonen. We'd be looking at a 3rd+B prospect at best.

At this point it's pretty obvious he's a rival fan (Oilers or Canucks) pretending to be a Flames fan. The hole wolf in sheep clothing troll routine.

Worth noting that the Hawks actually had 2 2nd round picks this year because they lost 2010 1st rounder Kevin Hayes has a FA.
My ideal return from Chicago for Glenny would be their other 2nd round pick and Stephen Johns.

FYI they have two seconds in this draft. One for not signing hayes and still have their own.

John Shannon @JSportsnet
Chicago still looking to bolster their forward situation before Monday deadline...in addition to Vermette, keep hearing Gagner in the mix.
Is Chicago looking at half the league?

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Don't sense the Blackhawks are close to a trade for a forward right now but they are certainly working on it .... they've got time.
Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
I still feel iike Vermette is best fit for them, my own opinion, but perhaps if price is too high they go elsewhere...
Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Blackhawks I believe have also checked in on guys like Atkinson, Cole, Glencross, etc... Lots of options for them...

Though I do agree that OEL is a stud and would cost a HUGE piece. Realistically, he'd be one of those players that would cost the Flames so much it wouldn't be worthwhile.
|
Fairplay.
Yeah, we have no chance of getting OEL unless we give up a core piece, so it's not worth it.
@MMF, no I'm not a Canucks or Oilers fan.

He knows that, he is trying to draw you into an infraction. Just stay cool.

1) He's doing a fine job of that himself.
2) I really believe that.

Then a little while after:
@TramyersCSN
FWIW, a source said the #Blackhawks have asked about Joel Ward (Caps). Who knows what comes of it but that would be intriguing, IMO.
There are also a lot of rumours that the reported Chicago locker room fight involved Sharp's off-ice activities apparently.
