This is why Canadian teams struggle so much - the ongoing pressure and over-analysis is stifling. Every bad pass, every bad decision results in a negative article in the paper, hours of discussion on the radio, etc.

The game is played on ice, wearing sharp blades, using a stick to push around an oddly shaped lump of rubber. Guess what? There are bounces. Bad things happen. In sports, things don't always go your way. Everyone - EVREYONE - has bad games.

Apply the same standard to every player then...right? As in...always earned never given..its only fair.

Nothing to do with "canadian teams struggling".....this is about a very young guy who has more than likely hit a wall in first pro season....nothing more and nothing less. Sitting a period or 2 or even a game isnt going to hurt him and will probably light a fire under him like it ALREADY has this year.

No choice, can't run with 3 goalies. Flames actually needed Ortio to play his way down. Hopefully he will get another look when an injury occurs
