I just don't think it's gonna happen but if it does I feel like the Vikings would only trade him for a 1st round pick and maybe a roster player.

Ya, I think its pretty cleary that Dallas wants him and he wants to play there, but I can't see a release happening... And the Vikings likely want too much in a trade.

The Vikings hold absolutely every card when it comes the AP situation. He's under contract, will get paid a boat load of money in 2015, the Vikings are the only team who can afford to PAY him that $12.5 million.
The thing I struggle to understand is he created this big mess and is now trying to weasel more guaranteed money from the Vikings saying he doesn't feel welcomed or doesn't trust the organization.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the next month.

That's why I think it would be smart to get rid of him, but you obviously can't just let him go for nothing. No reason to do that.
I think if Jerrah wants him bad enough he'll find a way to make a fair offer to the Vikings.

The Vikings and Cowboys making a big time trade involving a running back? I'd be scared if I was a Vikings fan...
Kidding aside, the Vikes should stand firm and expect fair compensation and nothing less. So to me that's at least a 1st and a 3rd round pick. Otherwise I'd tell AP to shut the hell up and cash his checks or retire.

Agree with you 100% and we very rarely agree in this thread.
I don't think there is anyway AP holds out, he needs to play in order to have any shot at Emmitt Smith's record.

As a Cowboys fan, I really believe that we need to use our picks to solidify our defense. Last year, the Cowboys defense was really a "bend but don't break" system that didn't inspire much confidence. Not a fan on throwing too many picks away for an aging RB who hasn't played in a year.

Colts sign free agent safety Dwight Lowery (starter on the Falcons last year). Good signing as Indy needed a safety.

Not a Steelers fan but I will miss watching Polamalu fly around the field. One of the greats

In related NFL news, Polamalu's hair will continue to play for at least 2 more years.

first Brett Keisel and his majestic beard, now Troy Polamalu and his magnificent hair ... sigh
right decision though, he was declining fast. Steelers have to make the draft count now, that secondary looks shambolic.

Well, looks like Lawrence Phillips continues to be absolute human garbage.

Quote:
FRESNO, Calif. -- Former NFL running back Lawrence Phillips is suspected of killing his cellmate in a Central California prison, officials said Monday.
Phillips' cellmate at Kern Valley State Prison was found lifeless early Saturday and later pronounced dead, prison spokesman Lt. Marshall Denning said in a statement.
Phillips is serving a sentence of more than 31 years. He was convicted of twice choking his girlfriend in 2005 in San Diego and in 2006 of driving his car into three teens after a pickup football game in Los Angeles. It wasn't clear whether Phillips has an attorney.
He is suspected of killing Damion Soward, a 37-year-old inmate from San Bernardino County serving 82 years to life for a first-degree murder conviction.

I'm a little surprised he was convicted of first degree to be honest. No murder weapon and only speculation on a motive. I believe 2nd degree was an option as well, no? Obviously guilty, but surprised they were able to get 1st.

They would be tolerable without the "Cleveland" on the jersey and "Browns" on the pants. No lettering! No logo!
