Still walking away with a winning road trip. Just sucks that the last game of the road trip happens to be the worst game they've played.
E.Staal and Skinner coming back really balance out their team. I agree they don't look like the McDavid tankers they did from a couple of weeks ago.

I know you are being ironic, but Gio has actually looked pretty bad this gave, at least by Gio standards.
Gios looked bad, Monahan is MIA, Hiller is soft and awkward... They really need to get home.

There are no guaranteed wins or easy nights in this league - if you don't come ready to play it will likely end badly.

yikes... take it easy. This definitely does not rank anywhere close as most embarrassing games as a Flames fan. Not even in the same universe as some of the games we've been forced to sit through for that contest.

What role is that? Pylon?
He rarely fights and has few options if he wants to fight.

Disagree with this. We're playing one of the hottest teams in the league at the tail end of a long road trip, while still missing 4 of our top players. Flames have been bad tonight, but I wouldn't exactly call it embarrassing. From what I've seen tonight, the effort is still there. Just too many brain farts and turnovers, and Hiller isn't having his best game. Don't forget this is still rebuilding team, no matter how many wins they've rattled off over the last few games.

Frankly I think Hiller is the reason we are losing. The rest of the team has fallen apart sure, but in the first half the Flames were the dominant team and Hiller let in two turds on what... 10 shots?
Hey, goalies have off nights, it happens, but I certainly wouldn't claim Hiller kept us looking respectable.

Give Carolina credit. They played a good game tonight and Ward was great early on. Flames get a couple past Ward instead of him stonewalling them and this is a win for the Flames.

I'm just saying if you want to be with the big boys of the nhl you win these games. There is no point working our balls off to beat Chicago when we battles to lose a game like this with 0 fight.

I would not characterize the Flames' effort as zero fight. I thought there was a lot of effort tonight.

Flames were by far the best team until they got the second goal.
Then they're gave up.
So, blame Setoguchi. I know I do.

He's not a liability on the ice, at least not as bad as Setoguchi.
