If you're running the guild, it is certainly more difficult.

I've played since beta but... probably had my account up for maybe 3 years total since then.

I tend to burn out on the game pretty quick. Usually by the time the current season ends I've had my fun.

Yeah, it's an old guild for sure. It's been around since vanilla beta, albeit under a different name. I've been the GM since late in WotLK. The time commitment for raiding is not insignificant at 20 hours per week, but we certainly raid far less than a lot of the guilds above us in the rankings. Unlike many of those guilds, we don't increase our raid hours during progression.

Hey if I leveled up could I get into your guild, just casually, I'm just tired of playing on a US server 8hrs behind me.

yeah its bad, if you are eligible then you get it, simple as that.

I'm a day 1 player but I had sub lapse so too bad for me, its an awesome gift though.

It's on PTR, apparently it's a daily.

Now all they have to do is find some way you can convert the stupid "full set of 615 armor/weapon" tokens.

That's nothing new for WoW. "Waaah, how come all the raiders get the cool purple gear and I don't even though I never run dungeons! It's not fair!"

As for the gift, mine evidently arrived today. Hard to believe it's been 10 years, and I subscribed literally on day one! (and promptly had to wait an hour to get on as the servers were overloaded.)

I'm not mad. Just disappointed.

You can believe that if I did get one, I would have been very glad.

Just curious if you had any lapses in subscription? They still haven't said what the criteria was, I'm betting I am out of luck due to the few breaks I took over the years. (Day 1 subscriber too)

No lapses.

You had to be subscribed since before January 23, 2005.

My first free month started on February 4, 2005.

Some people who lapsed did get the gift anyway. Their criteria was subscribed in the first 60 days of the games launch and were subscribed each year since. I think people who only lapsed for a few months at a time (or total) were still eligible, but those who took expansions off or had longer absences were not.

Picked mine up today. I'm pretty impressed with the size and materials used. I doubt it cost Blizzard too much given the scale of mass production, but they didn't exactly go cheap either.
