Wilfork re-signed in New England.
Great news /beastmode
http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/...lfork-contract
The new deal is for one year and $8 million, with $3 million guaranteed, the source said. It also has an option for two more years that could bring the total value to $22.5 million.

Jamarcus must have blocked Mayocks view of everybody else at that ProDay somehow.

Jackson in Oakland would be worst case scenario for his career.

How so? Matt Schaub had a down year last year but he's been to the pro bowl. The Raiders upgraded their lines, added James Jones who was a great #2 WR in Green Bay. The backfield will have both of Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones Drew and the best pass catching FB in the league in Marcel Reese. It's not Peyton Manning and the Broncos but there are far worse offenses in the league.

Another pretty astute talent evaluator Gil Brandt has always been pretty adamant that Jamarcus Russel had one of the best pro days he'd ever seen. So it's not like others at the pro day saw a guy who had no mobility or arm strength. Brandt also said that despite that he would never draft him based on the interviews and the like that he had done with him. Apparently a very good hearted guy...but not motivated enough to be a top level pro player.
Pro days only really showcase the players physical skills. Getting on his knees and heaving the ball 60 yards into a garbage can is the type of thing a players does at pro days. The player isn't making reads and throws with a pass rusher in his face. I don't doubt that Manziel wowed with his showcase day. It's the interviews with teams that will ultimately get him drafted.

Not because of the personnel around him but the city itself. Its not the best place for DeSean to be if he is related to any gang activity. Also the culture in the Raiders locker room might not be the best for him to stop his activities.
I just think that it would be best for him to join the Patriots or Broncos. Away from being affiliated with gangs, in a culture where you know they won't accept anything but the best.
In terms of the personnel you're completely right. He'd be a perfect fit as a number one receiver.

His gang ties are in LA so being on a California team is probably not a good idea for him I agree on that. Raiders locker room isn't an issue as thay have some quality leaders like Tuck, Woodson and Woodley. I personally don't want him on the Raiders because he's one of those guys that's a distraction whether you are winning or losing.
Highly doubt the Patriots tough him with a 10 foot pole given the lingering of Hernandez.

I wonder if Andy Reid will be interested in DeSean....always claims that he loves the kid. Alex Smith doesn't really throw the ball far enough though.

I hope that he somehow ends up in New England...but not very likely now.

Desean would be awesome in San Fran.
They need a deep threat for Kaepernicks big arm and he would be going home to California.
Crabtree, Boldin, V.Davis, D.Jackson would be unreal!

He would fill the single biggest need on that football team too.

Chiefs are apparently already going after him. Besides he's going to sign with Patriots. 49ers and Chiefs have no shot because they rock red and well he's not down with that. Patriots rock blue. So he's gotta stay loyal to his colors.

Seattle wears blue, maybe he could sign there. Could replace Tate. What kind of defense would you use to contain Harvin AND Jackson?

He has a better chance of signing in the CFL than the Seahawks signing him

Brown should throw some serious cash at him. Draft a lineman with the 4th pick. Draft a future QB prospect with Colts pick. Let Hoyer have another shot at it with a decent line, Gordon, Jackson, Cameron. Draft couple RB prospects with later picks and see how it turns out.

I dont have any idea how deep the issues with Jackson go, but there has to be something there for the Eagles to just cut bait with a pro bowl guy who has produced as top 5 guy in the league for 6 years and was a perfect fit for that Kelley offense. Add to that the alarming non-support of Eagles players for Jackson...something is very amiss about this guy.
So that being said, a team like Cleveland should stay as far away fom these types of guys until they are a stable orginization who can handle having them. The Patriots are a prime example of being able to absorb a malcontent/diva or two and it having no effect inside that room because of the leadership among players and coaches.
Cleveland needs to add quality character as well as productive players at this point as otherwise they risk continuing to spin their wheels.
