I get the injury factor, but even then, like this season, he seemingly stepped right into the lineup as one of the better players.

I agree he'd clear easily I just can't think of another reason to keep him up if he's not going to get even 10 minutes a game. You may as well dress 13 forwards and give him PP time to make up the extra minutes. Or bring up a defenseman that Hartley can trust and play.
