I believe it is measured after first bounce. So the court material comes into play as well as the ball structure. Different tournaments have different balls so the react faster/slower with the surface
This is why Davis Cup is so interesting because they choose courts that are best for the home team. For example Canada plays on carpet because it is the fastest surface for our big hitters
Me too, all I see is that he got hitched, got a big stupid tat of his wife's name on his arm, and that she took care of him when he got injured playing...I was expecting something bizarre or perverted? I miss something?

Canada’s Genie Army supporters came together for her historic 2014 AUSTRALIAN OPEN match last night. Overnight data from BBM Canada confirms that a total of 4.4 million unique viewers watched rising Canadian star Eugenie Bouchard’s semifinal match against China’s Li Na on TSN, RDS, and RDS2.
The highly-anticipated match drew a record average audience of 1.5 million viewers to TSN (988,000), RDS (365,000), and RDS2 (182,000) – making it the most-watched AUSTRALIAN OPEN match ever on Canadian television.*
oh ok, it's a google image search then. so yeah, Sweeting justifiably says "eff tennis".
speaking of tennis WAGs, that also explains why a guy like Berdych has never been able to focus and reach his full potential. now that's an image search worth doing.
I think they said at one point Li is the 3rd most popular celebrity in China? however accurate that is, I don't think most of us know just how big she is over there:
On China's social media platform San Weibo, Li Na has over 22 million fans. To put that into perspective, that's more than the Twitter followers of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka combined.
Last year, Li was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world. She was one of only four athletes on the entire list, and she was one of only seven selected for individual covers.
General question here. Who's the greatest ever male tennis player? Federer? I asked my father but he was quick to dismiss Federer.
We've all been getting along so well recently in here...why you have to wreck stuff?
Honestly it's how you choose to measure greatness. Probably the majority of analysts use grand slam wins as the measuring stick, which means Federer (for now). A growing segment point to Nadal's dominance of their head to head record as evidence to the contrary, plus he may end up passing Fed in slams anyways which would close the debate.
Still others give it to Rod Laver who was much further ahead of his peers than anyone else from any era, but never got the chance to pad his slam resume due to the separation of amateur and professional tennis during his career. I've even seen a claim that Jimmy Conners was the greatest, based on accumulated wins and maintenance of rank over his long career.
In short, it's whatever you choose as your criteria, so long as it fits your personal preference. Go to the wiki page for any of these guys and they all have a set of their own records so long it will make your head spin. As CP's #1 Fedfan, you know what my vote is.

I think Wawrinka has a pretty good chance tonight, you gotta believe he'll be the more desperate player, this might be his only look at a Grand Slam (see Del Potro), so gotta cash it in. But if Rafa plays like he did against Federer its gonna take a historic effort to get it done.
