Wow Knight is only the third line center? Reinhart is now being played on the wing? Doesn't strike me as the best way to develope some of our center prospects.

I don't know if you should read too much into 1st/2nd/3rd line. A lot of teams (including the Flames) don't have clear cut number one or two lines, so the ice time is split fairly evenly among the top 3 lines. I would imagine the line(s) that are playing well would get more playing time. I can't say for certain whether or not that's the case in Abbotsford but it's not uncommon.
Also - some of our center prospects may need to be moved to the wing. Again - not saying that's the case with Reinhart specifically - but I could see guys like Granlund/Horak being tested in a few different positions. I don't see anything wrong with that.

They have Byron-Knight-Reinhart-Street-Granlund-Horak-Jones who are all centers. Exactly how do you think they should all play center? Send a few down to the ECHL?

Didn't mean it as a shot at the Heat. Just thought both Knight and Reinhart were playing well enough to secure two of the top three center positions. The Heat are there to win games, not just develope future Flames. But it would be nice to see those two given more responsibility then they seemed to have earned in the eyes of Ward.

Non-Flames guy.. but good to see Hishon back. He was a pretty highly touted guy when drafted and missed a full year after a concussion suffered in the Memorial Cup.

Meh. Not really contributing a whole lot, but he is working his ass off when he's on the ice, so that's at least a positive. The guy can skate like the wind. It's not the prettiest, but he's fast and he's a bulldozer.
Really really hope he can get his offensive game going.

But think about it this way: out of those 12 forwards I listed, 8 of them are centres. It's awfully tough if you're the coach to give everyone time at centre.

Hasn't officially been announced yet, but Brossoit's going down to Alaska. Saw him with his bags and sticks packed. Ortio's on his way back up.
Ortio put up some good numbers for the Aces. 1.35 GAA, 0.925 SV%.

Technically Knight, Niemisz and Horak is the 4th line.
But then again they roll 4 lines. What separates 1st lines from 4th liners is special teams time.
