The NHL wonders why it struggles to get fans in the US with pathetic calls like that that screw over a fan base and could change the while series.
No surprise it benefits Detroit.
The NHL should be embarrassed but instead will laud their refs dr helping Detroit win another one.

Datsyuk for DET
Kane for CHI, usually comes out of nowhere to score the big goals.

No, the rules say warning, then call. And the referee isn't even going to ask for a warning in that situation. So once again, it's not going to happen, stop crying about it.

Considering they have shown they don't care about the rules not sure why you would expect them to call that when they never do including Game 6 in Detroit.

This entire "conspiracy theory" line of thinking just confuses me. What possible reason would the league have in favoring Detroit in this instance?

Yeah. This really looks bad for all the casual hockey fans in the US watching the game. Hard to get into a sport when legit goals are called off for well no apparent good reason. Black eye for the NHL and no amount of explaining about the rules is going to make this ever look like the right call. Inexplicably poor officiating bordering on looking fixed.

If it was the Flames in Chicago's place right now and we had that goal called off I'm not sure what I would be doing right now. Odds are it would be destructive in nature and would not end well for anyone.
Total bush league.

And the Wings should have been called for high-sticking earlier in the period. There were missed calls both ways.

I can't answer that but players have brought this up so you know it's not just fans that think the Wings are treated different than the rest of the league. You would have to ask the NHL why.

If the Wings win this game and somehow manage to win the cup, there should be an asterisk next to their name

Seriously? This was a legit goal called back versus the Wings on a PP where they might score.
Give your head a shake.

Yeah, that did seem like a penalty on Detroit, so should have been a goal.
Either way, what an awesome period. This one looks like it could go for a long time.
And now that I said that, it'll be over fast. Because, weirdly enough, what I say on this message board changes what happens in real hockey games 1500 miles away.
