What a brutal hockey game. Are the Flames frightened of success? It sure seems like it. Can't win two in a row to save their lives...can't get above .500. It's like they're perfectly happy being mediocre. They played such a great 3rd period against Dallas yesterday and showed a lot of heart coming back to win that game. I was really hoping they'd carry that over into tonight's game, but I guess it was just too much to hope for. It's a shame, because they've shown flashes of brilliance at times this year. You can see what this team could potentially become if they actually had some consistency in their game. So frustrating.

Remember when Iginla was a game breaker. Is this just a really slow start magnified by the fact that we're playing an extremelt shortened season? Or should we prepare ourselves for the aging reality of Iginla.

Iginla may start slow every year but this is the most ineffective stretch of his career.
