This is what this fan base has become. They hope the team fails (certain players, specifically) so they can be proven right.

Worse than Canuck fans. Unbelievably entitled.
That's garbage and you know it... I love Iginla, but I'm also a realist, and he made a really bone-headed play, so yes I feel I have the right to point that out. God forbid if Comeau or Bouwmeester would have done that... The guy has looked completely disinterested for the majority of the evening.

I want Iginla to be traded just so we don't have to read this drunk uncle routine anymore.

Iginla is my favourite player in the NHL but that was a weak attempt at clearing the zone. His play has not been top knotch this young season.

As I said, it's always the same people, always defending those who are no longer associated with the organization.

The Flames could have Babcock as coach and Poile as GM and people would find a way to complain.

I feel sorry for Baertschi. He's going to get eaten alive.

The worst fans are the ones who are completely unable to criticize the captain when he makes a mistake. The guy made a mistake. There were other mistakes on the goal like both dmen covering the ever dangerous Setoguchi and nobody even challenging Brodziak, but the whole fire drill started when Iginla gave up the puck. It is sad when some fans get upset when Iginla ever gets criticized or when it is ever suggested that he is not some amazing combination of Brett Hull's goal scoring ability, Gretzky's passing and Messier's leadership.

Hate on the local team so you can say you're not a homer. When the local team does bad, you win for being right

When the local team wins, you win as well because it's not like you really wanted to see your team lose in the first place and you're thrilled that they proved you wrong.
Some people are just sick of the same old crap and want some real change.

Elitest? Ha.

There is nothing worse than those who irrationally hate a player like Iginla, mind you, with no reason besides a desire to be proven right.

Iginla didn't even try to get back and help on the play, he knew precisely where the puck was when it went off of suter and had a chance to get back and didn't. Its that simple, he isnt playing well right now. no mojo and just plain out of it. Seemed to get a little life when with Hudler and Cervenka.

Irving over played the puck and showed his hand too early. He has been very strong tonight though.

Tanguay has been bad for most of the night. drives me nuts when these guys do these things and is the leading reason why fans want this blown to bits.

Glencross, Tanguay, Iginla right now are hurting this team more than anything right now. Guess tis time to sit tight and wait for something to happen like we always do.

Actually, I like just about everything about this team right now... except Iginla ( and to a lesser degree, Tanguay ).

In prior years I never called to trade Iginla, because I didn't want to become Edmonton, spending the next 10 years waiting for our 43 first round picks to get us into the playoffs. This team however, is only a few key pieces away from being viable... and considering Iginla has barely shown up this year, if we got a good piece for him, we could rebuild really fast.

those slamming Iginla for not hustling back on that goal need to watch the play again. There is zero chance he was getting back into that play. The puck took a bounce off a skate when Iginla was trying to chip it out in the zone. He wasn't trying to be cute like some others have said either. Iginla, had to stop, turn around and by that time, the puck was already on Brodziak's stick and Iginla was 7 feet away. It was a bang bang play, Iginla would not have got him if he had the speed of Jay Bouwmeester. It just wasn't going to happen.

You need to get off his case, I don't fault him at all on that play.

My favourite part was when Iginla sauntered back towards the net after the turnover and watched it go in. Seriously? Ugh.
