Do you have some examples of Obama's divisive rhetoric?
Clinton's?

How I see it. Obama tried being non divisive in his first years. A problem needed to be solved so after much bargaining, he'd say to the GOP, okay we'll do it your way. The GOP's answer, no, so nothing got solved. He was accused of having no balls, so Hilary sees that there is no compromise that is going to work and you accuse her of being divisive?

You should get into politics. You are talking but I'm not even sure what it is you are saying, but it sounds good.

I can come up with plenty for Clinton. Be patient. I have a job.

Not sure why you can't understand. I think you're just saying that to follow up your 'lol'. You enjoy trying to make people look stupid.

That's not why I accused her of being divisive. I accused her of being divsive because she has a long history of being divisive!

Fair enough. This was actually my question. If it came down to Hillary vs anyone of the current top GOP candidates, would you vote against Hillary purely for a perceived divisivness/lack of leadership? I am glad you're answer is what it is. Hopefully more people can follow suit.
Another question, is it that Hillary herself that seems divisive or just the fact that having her in power would CAUSE more divisivness?

The former.
As for the GOP candidates, right now it's Christie and Cruz as the only two current possibilities I see. Neither one of them gets the nomination IMO, but I don't know who else is going to emerge. I wouldn't vote for either of them against Hillary. There would be zero consternation about it.
By the way, I appreciate your tone.

I just think it is funny that you think a successful President needs the quality to be above divisive rhetoric.
maybe Obama should caved in to the Tbaggers and stopped the ACA from going into effect, and then avoiding the govt shutdown that cost 24 billion and accomplished absolutely nothing. Is that the kind of non divisive POTUS you are hoping for, and will have success.
That's one out of a billion examples I can think of where I think your idea is a dream.

So what's the problem, she isn't going to get the opposition to go along with anything she wants to do. I think your desire for some super politician who's going to miraculously unite the country is wishful thinking.
Maybe a good war would help.

A President could be successful without that quality. I just think it is what this country needs right now.
Obama shouldn't have caved. I don't consider the actions he took in that situation to be divisive. There's a big difference between action and rhetoric. One is important to the process the other is meaningless in the process but can be extremely harmful when digested by the public.
Don't you think guys like Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin etc are harmful? All they do is spew rhetoric every day.

Well, it seems like your interpretation of what I'm saying is more in line with what Tinordi thought I was saying.
I just want to see the entire country tone down the rhetoric. It's been insane for the last 14 years and I believe it is perpetually harmful.

Yeah these political debates can definitely get heated, especially with the state of things as they are.
So the real problem isn't the presidency at all, it's these congressional primaries that need to see GOP (and Tea-Party) members get punted. But it's really difficult for me to see that going down in many areas. This, funnily enough because there is so much frustration that "the people" can't do anything, means it's really in the people's hands but the presidential race is not what they should be focusing on.

AH, now I think I am getting it. You want a President that will do state run media, like North Korea or something.
I gotcha.

I'm sure the Democrats would love it to be either Christie or Cruz.
Destroy Christie as a vengeful politician who uses his power for spite.
Cruz destroys himself by being a right wing nutjob, and if the Dems want they can just remind people of the "shutdown the government, willing to default on debt over Obamacare" nutjob.
Easy win.

Except that it doesn't end with the win, to the contrary of many politicians beliefs.
This just perpetuates what DFF is talking about. Dems shouldn't even need to bring focus to the GOPs idiocy, the (hopefully) semi-intelligent populace can see it already. The goal shouldn't be to make the other party look bad enough that yours looks better by comparison. It should be a debate about actual issues going forward. All attacking the other party does is lead creedence to the fact that they may not actually have any good ideas themselves (see the GOP of the last 6 years).
