Kings are one step closer to staying in Sacramento.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/92...kings-stay-put

Good news, in my opinion. Seattle deserves a team and the Sonics should never have left, but you don't fix it by moving another team from a traditionally strong (if currently struggling from mismanagement) small market.

The sooner this team is out of the clutches of the Maloofs (and into a new arena), the better. No reason it can't once again be one of the best small markets in the league.

The NBA got everything it wanted with that one. A new arena in an existing market and an expansion market thats pretty much a guarantee.

They've got a mix of public (city) and private funding. The city currently owns the land and a large number of parking garages in the area where the arena is going. So they'll own the arena and parking facilities, and will receive revenue for this, as well as from sales of land in the area that will see an increase in value from the revitalization of the area.

Celtics live again. Knicks are just too much isolation, when guys aren't hitting shots they are not a very good team.

How many times is LeBron James going to bitch and whine if someone like Jimmy Buttler plays hard defense on him in the next series? I'll put at over 5.5. Jimmy Butler's emerge this season might have made Luol Deng expandable.

My guess is while he is putting up 30-9-7 and winning games he won't give a crap.

My question is how much crap will we have to hear about the Bulls great defense while Lebron is doing what he wants offensively and killing them defensively as well.

Credit to the Bulls, but this should have never happened. One of the worst collapses ever by Brooklyn, Chicago barely fields a healthy 5 guys in each game and the Nets can't win? Add the Nets to the list of the Lakers and Celtics who have a big offseason ahead.

Also at what point is Derrick Rose actually going to play? He was clear a couple months ago but still isn't feeling ready to play. Anyone else think he's being just a little too cautious?

I'm no doctor, but I think he's being an idiot. Perhaps at some point they tried to rush him and now he's holding it against them, but it's not like he's being rushed back from a concussion or another issue that's life threatening should be come back. Good players would make the sacrifice at 70% to come back. This is getting ridiculous at 90% when he doesn't, and if that's your "franchise" player, I'd deal him at next years deadline if I could get Wiggins. The guy's being a dope.

If he comes back the Bulls lose to the Heat, if he doesn't come back the Bulls lose to the Heat.

When Arenas came back to early from a similar injury it derailed him long term. I can understand why Rose wants to make sure he is fully healthy as he has little to gain by coming back early and a lot to lose.

I can appreciate Rose wanting to protect himself, but if he's not going to risk it for the playoffs when guys on his team are gritting it out and puking on the bench to play, it makes him look bad. Now granted Bulls fans will defend him to death because besides being their guy as a Bull, he's from Chicago so he's almost invincible there. Ultimately I think he should at least try and play 5 or 10 minutes a night just to get his confidence back up, but now its going to be 17 months between basketball games for Rose. I think he just wants to come back in the regular season when the intensity is minimal, which again kind of makes him look bad.

Heat in 6?

Heat are definitely a better team but the Bulls seem to give the heat some problems.
Game 1 is going be within 6-8 and over 187 is my guess.

I don't want to sound too cocky. But the Bulls can barely field their starting five. Winning the series said more about how inept the Nets were instead of how good the Bulls. I will be shocked if the Bulls can keep it close with the Heat.

I think the Bulls will win game 2 or 3 and that will be it. Miami in 5.

I think it'll be Heat in 5, but it'll get really interesting to see what happens with Rose if it goes to 6 or 7. The focus on him is going to get intense if it looks like even Rose at 80% might be enough to push them over the top.

Chicago is definitely going to make Miami earn it, and if they can play defense like they did tonight, combined with just awful Miami shooting, they can pull of the historic upset.

So whoops, went to bed with the Warriors up 16 with 4 minutes left and missed the epic Spurs comeback. Warriors have to be destroyed mentally by that, what a waste of Curry's insanity.
