I sure hope Feaster doesn't mess this up!

How is he going to mess it up? Feaster knows how good Johnny is, he drafted him and said even last year he was getting calls on him.

As Flames fans, I think it's fair to be scared. Something has gone wrong so many times.

My Father had beers one night with a scout for the Devils. He said that Both the Devils and Bruins are salivating over him and are trying hard to land him.

Feaster is smart. He is not going to trade him away. He hasn't really traded away any prospects since being GM with the exception of Patrick Holland in the Cammileri deal. He is doing awful this year too, so it is not that bad. Feaster is not going to sacrifice the long term for the now, that was the Sutter era.

I hope he has an Eberle like tournament with the States. I'm excited to see him play in the tournament. It still blows my mind how young this guy looks. He looks like a high school kid, even in those highlights.

No matter how much facial hair Rick Nash grows, I still think he looks like a teenager.

Some people just never grow up in their face.

I really hope that doesn't happen, he seems to have great potential to be a great player and a fan favourite.

Unless a Garth Snow esque overpayment is on the table?

That too haha. Seguin/Hamilton or Larsson/Henrique for Gaudreau would be fine by me. Hopefully he wouldn't become the next St.louis in that scenario though.

Well, he also said that Feaster was asking for the moon. So take solace in that.

If you have scouts from New Jersey and Boston salivating over a player you are likely better off holding on to him.

The thing Im loving about Gaudreau right now is that no one is talking about his size anymore. When we first drafted him thats all it was "skilled, but tiny". Now none of his good notes are followed by the small label, because he is proving that it doesnt matter. Keep on rocking Johnny! Your name will be on the back of my jersey as soon as you put one on yourself!

“You can take a lot of lessons from Boston College,” Dartmouth coach Bob Gaudet said. “Obviously, Gaudreau is just a phenomenal player. They have a lot of good players, but Gaudreau reminds you of Paul Kariya a little bit when he was in college. He’s just a dynamic player. So, there’s other guys, but he’s a difference maker, no question about it.”

Can't say I am shocked, Gaudreau being at BC gives the Bruins lots of chances to see him (I think they wanted Kobasew because he was BC Alumn as well) and New Jersey getting a hometown boy to market could really be something that helps them at the gates.

I must be tired, but I have Bell and I don't see it on either NBC channel that I know of. Would love to watch Gaudreau

It was also said that Weisbrod, who was not allowed to participate in the Flames draft, was really happy that Gaudreau was picked as a Flame. Boston was pretty high on him going into the draft. I am sure Weisbrod knew a lot about him.
