If they can pull this off, the Glazers and ManUtd will be in great shape I think.

I say pull it off as it seems kind of criminal - raising 1bn while maintaining control with non-guaranteed dividends.

The balance of the shares would be in the form of non-voting perpetual preference stock without dividend guarantees or the right to sell the shares back to the club – both common features of preference share issues – according to people with knowledge of the transaction.
However, the preference shares would rank ahead of the ordinary shares in the event of an insolvency, potentially making them attractive to institutions such as Temasek, the Singapore state investment agency, which is considering taking a large stake as a cornerstone investor.

Chelsea could offload Fernando Torres to AC Milan in a stunning swap deal with Robinho or Alexandre Pato, according to reports in Italy.

Torres has scored just once since signing from Liverpool for £50million in January and is struggling to adapt to life at Stamford Bridge.

Milan missed out on Torres when he left Atletico Madrid for Liverpool in 2007 but are long-term admirers and are ready to offer one-time Chelsea target and Manchester City flop Robinho in exchange.

So, 0-0 draw for Spurs. Did Gomes sleep with 'Arry's wife or something? From starter to 3rd string?

0-0 draw is a great result, only Corluka or Walker of those who played today will start vs Liverpool

rest of the starters didnt even travel

Gomes is 3rd string because he complained and said he wants out...

good riddance

If he did, his career would be going the other way.

from what it seems harry isn't going to even think about playing any of the regulars in an away game until the knockout stages

maybe a few for a home game if the weekend game isn't a tough one

Thats a pretty good policy for the Europa league games. No sense in burying yourself on those games.

Premier League - United 'get OK for Asia float'

Looks like they will get it done. Will be interesting to see how the funds are allocated. If they are not used to completely wipe the debt, the apoplectic response of the fans will make for some good reading.

Qatari rumor resurfaces...

This has been one of my favourite seasons to watch Arsenal.

Again, some terrible Arsenal defending.

I'm watching the Newcastle/Villa game and the guys who are impressing me are Leon Best and Yohan Cabaye.

Cabaye, in the second half has had three amazing strikes on goal eliciting two amazing saves from Given and cracking off the crossbar. Really impressed with someone I'd really never heard about before.

Best is going to be one of those penultimate 'right place, right time' kind of strikers.

Dammit, why are all the good games on Sunday? And they're not replaying the Arsenal game today, I'd have liked to have watched that. I'll have to record them in future.

Junior Hoilett got an assist on Blackburn's first goal, good to see him in the lineup after his concussion.

Arsenal has scored 3 own goals in the Premier League already this season. Decent return.

if it's Crouch and not Ade 3 of those 4 goals absolutely do not happen

fantastic performance

Parker and Modric all ready seem like they have been playing together in central midfield for years

Man U is so friggin good it is almost unfair. 3-0 at half over Chelsea. And even though Man U had the majority possession I thought Chelsea had the better chances up until about the 35th minute when Man U went up 2-0. After the 2nd goal I don't think Chelsea's had another shot and have hardly had the ball past midfield.

So what's the deal with watering the pitch right before kickoff and at halftime?
