i had a huge 'proud dad' moment at dinner tonight.
we had the world jr's on for canada vs finland and at one of the breaks tsn goes to some outside footage before the commercials and it's a bridge over some river.
my son (7 years old) asks, "daddy, why is the water so brown there?"
i replied, "that's edmonton!"
he comes back with, "is that why edmonton is no good?"
bahahahahahaha!!!! i LOVE it! my wife just rolled her eyes - ha!

Which CP member infiltrated the Oilers organization and forced this horn selection onto everyone for the new building. It’s so bad that I don’t know how they found 2 people who thought it was a good idea.

Surely this required special manufacture right? Like there’s no way that was an off the shelf option. Someone had to call them and say can you tune it to sound like all of your goal horn options are playing at the same time? Also make it longer and louder than anything you’ve done before.

The No Good Edmonton announcers proclaimed it a unanimous decision by Gagner, but the folks at Hockeyfights gave the win to Conroy by a tight 91 to 90 votes.

Yeah, it was at-worst a draw for Conroy. The only reason he fell was because he lost his footing. It wasn't anything Gagner did.
From what I remember, after the game, Conroy said that Gagner basically begged him to fight as they went into the faceoff because Gagner was in Quinn's dog house and he thought fighting would help him get out.
What's funny about that is it was only halfway through the first regular season game that Quinn coached in Edmonton.
