We're so far into this rebuild now, and so listless with bats, how do you guys feel about getting teoscar now that he's mentioned a desire to come back?

I mean this is just tough to watch we have very little offensive threat most nights and we're far enough into this build that we we're supposed to be contending.

The average launch angle in the MLB is around 12 degrees.
Kirk’s launch angle is 3.6 degrees this season.

Only caught the last couple innings, why was Kikuchi pulled after only 5 innings/78 pitches no runs against?

A guy had just reached first on an infield single and Teoscar was up next who was 2/2 including a hard hit ball last at bat. It was still a one run game at that point.
I believe that was the reason behind the decision. But the wrong one IMO. Kikuchi was dealing and his body language was strong. He would have gotten out of it. And the relievers could have been bumped down an inning each.

Kirk should be stapled to the bench. I can't say for sure, but it looks to me like ge is GAINING weight. His gut looks significantly bigger than a year ago.
No power, ground balls 90% of the time. Slowest runner in the entire league (maybe Miggy Cabrera iz slower? Maybe, and he is old enough to be Kirk's father). Can't throw a runner out to save his life. TBF, Pitch framing is OK, not great and he is fairly good at blocking the ball, I will give him that.
Give Kirk 1 out of every 4 just to keep Jano fresh. Otherwise he shouldn't played. He OBVIOUSLY shouldn't (ever) pinch hit.
I'd be telling him (and Manoah) to lose 50 pounds in the off-season if they have any desire to remain Blue Jays.

Best catching prospect in the game? No, we don't need him, we have Kirk! 5'5 tall, 300 pound catchers have such a rich tradition of success in the league.
I mean seriously, that trade alone is a fireable offense, imo. Good news for Atkins is his best buddy is his boss, don't see him going anywhere with Shapiro at the helm.

Sucks to lose a close one like that, but it was still a pretty entertaining ball game. The Schneider decisions I disagree with are pulling the Kooch when he did, like damn give the guy some rope once in a while, and pinch hitting Kirk. Just get Varsho to bunt, he's the best bunter on the team and has the hustle, i suppose they didn't feel confident with Belt running a squeeze play.
I also think the Friday night Seattle game has way more eyeballs than most games lately as evidenced by the number of posts in here.

There are times where bringing Kirk in to pinch hit makes sense (guys on second and third or when nobody is on base) but putting him in when a double play is set up is just asking for trouble.

Gausman should not be pitching much longer today. He clearly doesn't have his good stuff. Velocity & location is not there.
