TNG. Yeah. This is the thing that everyone always points back to.
A show that had a limited budget (albeit still expensive for the time) and had to compensate for those limitations with....hold your breath....interesting characters and stories.

First of all, calling whatever this bull#### was a 'film' is being hysterically generous.
And my point was I have no idea what anyone in this thing's name was other than Philippa because they just would STFU about it!
They had to use her full name every other sentence in case you forgot she was in it. I'd go back and re-watch it and do a count of the number of times they said her name but I'd rather gargle acid.

dang it - I was such a fan of the Philippa Georgiou and Michelle Yeoh's performance thereof - disappointing to hear the reviews...looks like, like others, I'll hold out and wait for more of Strange New Worlds.

It sounds like the best thing in the movie is Lost Era phaser design that's the middle point between the Movie era phasers and the dust buster of early TNG

It was just one of the dimensions from Everything Everywhere All at Once.
it's an EEAaO spin off, and that's the end of it.
If it had anything to do with Star Trek there would have been a person in a Star Fleet uniform OR there would have been a Star Fleet wessle somewhere in there.
There wasn't. So it's not.

If Strange New Worlds falthers, its the end of Trek unless Paramount sells the IP.
Even if SNW remains strong, we're not likely to see any new Trek for a while, that's not already in production.
I wonder if they made this film because they were frankly contractually obligated. I mean Yeoh tried to do us all a favour and kill it by demanding a huge amount of money, and was probably surprised that she got it.
The sad thing is a move or series built around Section 31 with the shades of gray could have probably been really good. And you wouldn't need George in it.

Hell, right now I would take an animated series that is just Data and Geordie solving Sherlock Holmes mysteries in the holodeck. It could even be the 70's show animation, I don't care.. just give me something (good) back for taking away Lower Decks.
