scary thing. My sister had a Denali, it just quit and she managed to drive it up on a median to get out of traffic. Everything failed. Very happy she was not driving quickly at the time.

Every GM CEO seems to have their own crisis to deal with, so she's not that different. She's well compensated and experienced...there's no need to feel sorry for her or adjust expectations because she's a woman. Glad to have Dan Akerson out of there though, that guy seemed like a huge twat.

Ignition switch recall I believe. She'll never own another GM vehicle.

Totally off topic, I can't believe twat is not sensored.

I proceeded to dump ice in my cooler as he got angrier and angrier. Eventually another pump beside me opened up so he backed up and went around to pull in. As soon as he did I backed my truck out of the pumps and drove off. He watched me go with such a sad look on his face.
I think it was at that moment that he realized he had boxed me into the pump and the guy in front of me was still filling up so I had nowhere to go.

Why did that grind your gears? It sounds like you wanted to make him upset, otherwise you could have just put your vehicle in reverse and the back-up lights would have gotten the message across.

Waiting for women. I don't know what it is, but no matter what time I tell my wife to be ready it's 30-60min later. I even sandbag the time, and yep, still late. My sisters and mom are the same.
Supposed to leave at 10am for a flight...still waiting.

There is probably a perfectly unobjectionable word that has "twat" somewhere within it.

Out of all of the gear grinders out there, this is probably my ultimate. If there's anything that will set me off, it's waiting for people who can't get their crap together for an agreed upon time. I don't care if it takes you 20 minutes or 2 hours to get ready...you know the time we have to leave, so do what you must to make it happen. 10 does not mean 10-ish, and it certainly doesn't mean 10:30. 10 means 10. Actually, ten for me usually means 9:45, but Im always the guy who's early.

we actually sent a different invitation to my chronically late aunt so she wouldn't miss our wedding. It worked.

We used to do the same thing with my Aunt. Always gave her a time of 1/2 hour to an hour ahead of everybody else. I'm starting to do this with my daughter now.

I'm late for everything all the time. Not because of some power thing, but I have a generally frenetic mind. I will have planned everything out, but things jump out at me and I get quite easily refocused. I wouldn't self diagnose ADD or whatever, but I generally find it impossible to remain focused on what time I have to be somewhere and how long it takes me to get there.
Thankfully, my wife can often keep me on track. Without her though I'm off the rails. Late for absolutely EVERYTHING.

Maybe not 5 hours, but I'm usually the guy who's at the airport early too. I'll add up every worst-case scenario with traffic, security lines etc in my head, and then add like 30 minutes to it for good measure. Most of the times I end up waiting at the airport for a while, but it has saved me a couple of times from missing flights when the worst-case scenario plays out.

Table5, it's worse when it's a person who is in charge of something. A perfect example is our 8 year old's Cub scout leader. Late for everything. Absolutely maddening. I've heard he's a project manager. I have no idea how he keeps his job.

I'm generally last-minute for absolutely everything - except the airport. Not too sure what it is but that I'll be excessively early for.
Went on a trip with a friend a few months back and she took a cab from her place (we live in the same neighbourhood) because she refused to leave as early as I did. Mind you I'll also circle the parking lot for half an hour to find the spot least likely to get doored.

Well that's just common sense!
But yeah, my time paranoia multiplies by about 10 when it's flight related.
