I had it wrong. Crown is still Hallmark. It is Great American Media that Abbott spun out because Hallmark was no longer racist and bigoted enough for them. And yes, Cameron is the Chief Creative Officer.

I also recall that week the CEO was walking the floors and the look on his face when he realized I wasn't cheering for the Oilers and commented that nothing would be better than seeing Tkachuk raise the cup in Edmonton. Thankfully that happened in game 7.

Yes, I noticed that on my drive home. Who the hell was this "Tom" dude they were interviewing? Not sure who was doing the interview but thought to myself this guy can piss off with his Oilers love on Calgary radio. Wanna pump the Oilers tires like every other media? It was unbearable radio for 30 minutes for sure on our station. Tom even made fun of Steinberg for getting excited about our free agency signings (Mantha) and equated such with Hendriks and some of the other Oiler FA signings of past.

No recognition that Mantha signing was shrewd business and likely would result in more picks at trade deadline in return.

Essentially laughed out loud that the best we had were Huberdeau, Kadri and Mantha.

The arrogance of the McDavid era was quite evident. Sadly no push back from Logan Gordan or Peter Klein.

Not sure if they are going around the league and doing team reviews to fill their segments. But hope that is the last of Oilers love-ins I will have to bear on 960.

It is clear we will get no respect from up north for quite some time. Meanwhile we will rebuild this thing properly as Conny is doing.

to be fair, he was asking about the quality of Oilers D and the likelihood of their goaltending tandem to hold up.

Tom just kept repeating "well they were good enough to make game 7 of the cup final" or "if its a problem they can just fix it in the middle of the season"
