Sharp, Davison, McLean(?), Farkas, Stan The Man, Harry Leathers, crazy pastor guy. I figure Jon Lord may just rise from the grave to run again too (#JonLord1st).

He can Fark off.
It seems like he has changed, but I'm wary.

I kinda hope she doesn't just so she doesn't suck up a lot of votes that could go to a better candidate.

It's definitely better for her to not run. I can't imagine a scenario where she wins, so why run. Then you can try again for something else later as well - if she goes down in flames it'll be tougher for her to win provincial office or something later.

If you listen to him in the cbc a lot of his policy positions haven’t really changed. I think he would choose not to engage in social conservative stupidity. But he certainly is still a lower service lower tax level more user fee type candidate.
He does support the zoning changes which is what the next election will be fought over.

Probably the only path she'd have to victory would be tons of people smelling blood in the water and the vote getting split between 5-6 candidates on the right/centre and her not getting challenged by anyone credible from the progressive side

Yes, crown decides on whether or not to pursue a case. Obviously victim cooperation is sometimes paramount for evidentiary purposes.
This happened to the LA Kings Defenceman who was charged with domestic assault. The wife didnt want to pursue but the prosecutors had enough evidence (and the ability) to charge and convict without her cooperation -- if i remember correctly.
The victim here also has a potential civil law suit in this case, which i imagine she will be pursuing against the office. I wouldnt be surprised if her lawyer attempts to loop in the Police as well under vicarious liability or negligence to ensure his/her client gets paid - i am not sure if there are any statutory issues at play here though.
TBH, i havent been following the whole thing, so i might have details wrong

That’s a nice euphemism for 4 years of austerity and poor city services.

4 year tax freeze - So, what he planning to cut to get there? If he's not saying that, its just meaningless nonsense.

It would be really nice if there was a more progressive(ish) candidate to take advantage of a conservative vote split.
Only names that come to mind are Evan Woolley or maybe Greg Clark. Not sure if either would be interested
