Nice sliding catch by Pillar helps us get out of that jam.
Now they have to get at Paxton.

There are waaaaayyyyy too many umps trying to put on a show now. Put your mask on and get on with it, people aren't paying to watch you.

I hate how much the umps keep these arguments going. In fact, how many they actually start.
JD can say it how he did, looked low. Ump can say back, nope was a strike. Message sent, message recieved, both ways. Hitter knows the umps place, ump maybe does a better job with his zone.

Josh Thole, quite possibly the slowest runner in all of baseball. Painful to watch.

Should we bet if Cecil allows more runs or gets more outs!

Still can't believe Thole couldn't score on that double by JD that split the outfielders and went all the way to the wall. Plus Thole had the luxury of knowing there was 2 outs so he could get a head start.
Pathetic.
Only other guys I'm confident also wouldn't be able to score on that play would be Bengie and Jose Molina. Just sad.

Even if he had come down the line a little he would have been able to score on the bad throw. Similar to Lake, seeing fringe guys make fundamental errors drives me nuts

I can't believe Jays management is unable to find a better option for back up catcher than Thole.
Seriously, what gives?

We got next to nothing off of Paxton. Hopefully we'll get something off Cishek the closer.
