This.
Looking around the league Canyon is far from a bad anthem singer. Not one of the best but far from one of the worst

So, he's consistently average to mediocre. Seems like a perfect fit.
Here's to 30 years of staying the course!

Willy Joosen is a master jazz musician as well as a friend. I've played with him. He's one of those guys who knows 5000 songs in any key you want. Name one other organist in the league that plays Zelda? His playing is fresh while respecting the traditions of the organ at the old hockey game. So, disagree entirely.

I think you missed the joke.
Personally I believe our sub-par Home Record is exclusively due to the poor performance of the Ice Girls. Fire 'em all!

BT said it’s his job to improve every position.
When D Sutter became available if BT did not call him then he is a liar.

He may be a good musician but that organ sounds like one of those cheap Casio POS. Great that he knows 5000 songs! Now can he please forget about the "Chicken Dance"?

^^^ Haha, yes! A full blood letting including full name change and branding. Actually that may be the only way to get rid of the stink?

It's a Korg Triton Studio 88 that sold new for $4200 and it doesn't sound like a cheap Casio...It's no Hammond B3 though haha

I think the Flames performance has started to suffer ever since the girls put on pants. Bring back the skirts.

- More urinals; same amount of toilets
- Reduce the number of advertisements in commercial breaks to improve atmosphere.
- Bring back old malt ice-cream; maybe also add village ice cream
- Replace all concession food items except pocket dogs. Bring back old concessions only for retro night
- Add local craft beer options sold by local beer guys and gals
- Replace heroin beer with MDMA beer or cocaine beer to liven up the dome
- Replace quiet season ticket holders with louder ones
- Make the saddledome warmer
- Nurture environment that will lead to more organic high quality chants (ricci's ugly!)
- Create a hardcore fan section captained by the traveling jagrs; hold tryouts for admission.
- Sign Jarome to a one-game contract; retire his jersey
- Bring Jarome home; sign him to a one-year contract and un-retire his jersey
- Get rid of organ player; replace with jazz musician (maybe a sax player)
- Get rid of george canyon; replace with george canyon
- Make calgary warmer and reduce the pressure of playing here.
- Convince Tavares we are one good player away from a dynasty. Also convince him that this is a great place to play because its a lower pressure environment that's super warm all year round
|
With that agenda you have my vote to replace Ken King.

Treliving hitching his wagon to Gulutzan after this season would be the dumbest show of loyalty since Glen stuck with his boy Dave Cameron.

Treliving needs to almost instantly fire Gulutzan. It definitely has to happen prior to the draft, that’s a certainty. I would give Treliving a deadline of like 2-3 weeks pre-draft to do it and have a new coach in place, such that if he can’t you find a new GM who will do what it takes and not be so blindly loyal to such a terrible product. You would want the new GM to have a bit of time in advance of the draft to get his plan together.
Gulutzan is now firmly costing the Flames a lot of money.

Sticking with Brent Sutter for 3 years was no better.

Before Brent we had 3 coaches in 4 years tough to keep firing the coach. Brent also dragged a bottom 5 roster to 90pts at least in all 3 years. Different situation in my opinion. In the last 9 seasons we have had 3 coaches

He inherited a playoff team. Definitely not bottom 5.

Seriously the rosters Sutter had in the last two seasons were pretty bad. It's actually amazing he could parlay a blue line consisting of Chris Butler, Scott Hannan, Anton Babchuk, Corey Sarich into a 90 point team.

Nice spin. He took a perennial playoff team and sank them, missing every year.
