That was a massive hold by Felix saving multiple break points just now.
Edit: Followed up that hold with a break - Now serving at 4-1 in set 3

Felix finishes Alcaraz off 6-2 in the 3rd set. Big surprise there.

All right, Felix wins taking set 3 6-2. How much do he and Vasek have left for the doubles though?

Have to imagine Carlitos had little left in the tank (mentally rather than physically) for this match after the US Open, but that said, that's a big win for Felix.

This is the first win by a Canadian over a world #1 since Vasek over Murray at IW in 2017 I believe.

Juan Carlos Ferrero: I said to someone in the press that maybe Sinner and Carlos could dominate the tour for maybe the next 10 years, from the level that I saw the other day.
Felix:

One break of serve was all that was needed for Spain to take the opening set 6-4. Any chance we can clone Daniel Nestor?

Canada breaks late in set 2 to level the match at 1 set apiece.

Win or lose this doubles match, this is a tremendous effort from Vasek and Felix today.

woot!! They did it! From 4-5 down, they win three straight games to take the doubles and the tie 2-1. Vasek and Felix, what a day!!

One of the biggest victories in Canadian men's tennis. Felix can build on this and take a giant leap forward next year. I'm so pumped what a win!

Yes, it also was a good match.
However, Federer v Roddick doesn't have the same cachet as Federer v Nadal.

I'm really happy for Vasek, he may never win a singles slam BUT every Davis Cup he is there busting his ass for Canada and has for a long time. Dude is the Ryan Smyth of Canadian tennis

So Canada needs to win 1 of the 3 matches on Saturday against Serbia and that will be enough for them to advance to the Davis Cup finals.
