Great show that never lost its consistency and story line.
I love how they took a cheap shot against Discovery with the destroyed Klingon ship reverting to the ridiculous Klingon's from discovery. A nice emotional ending.
At one point I was worried that they were going to run with that.
The show loves it's callbacks but lets try and forget STD ever existed...

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
You know what I really loved about this ending, and it hit this really cool emotional thing with me.
At the end of the Original Trek movies, the crew was retiring, the Enterprise returning to be recommissioned, it was an end.
In Deep Space 9 there was the question of whether Sisko would return. Voyager the journey ended.
With Lower Decks, it was simple, life goes on, the voyage was going to continue, they were going to continue to have adventures that we might not see, and even though the Captain was gone, the ship was in good hands. Life goes on, it was the coolest way that this show could go, and this crew that had really waited until the last possible moment to become what you would call a cohesive crew was going to be ok, and they would find a way to face anything.
It was a kinda cool message, and that last scene of the ship disconnecting and pivoting away from Star Base 80, and the red glow of the Warp Nacelles reflecting off of the saucer section was really well done.

It definitely feels like its going out with lots left in the tank, but I guess outside of ToS and Enterprise, most Trek shows go out over-staying their welcome.
I hope this isn't the end for the Cerritos crew, but if it is what a fun 51 episodes.

I'm more or less of the same opinion, it went out on top but I'd rather they kept going too, it did feel kind of incomplete and, if I'm honest, a bit rushed, there seemed like a lot more gold there.
I'm going to try and watch this:
I usually avoid this show because Wil Wheaton is genuinely insufferable as a host.
We get it. You were on TNG. You're a big fan. Yeah. Alright.

Like...the scene where the saucer section plows through most of Veridian 3? Its like a 5-minute sequence of everybody getting tossed around.
Not a single one you were wearing a seatbelt? Not one.
How did the Enterprise ever pass Starfleet Occupational Health and Safety inspections?
Further, its like a plane crash..."brace for impact!" And all the passengers brace against the chairs or whatever, something thats at least bolted down. On the Enterprise though?
Brace for impact!
And its scenes of guys in Jeffries Tubes not holding on to anything much less bracing, everyone on the bridge is standing around and, okay all of the children are just wandering the halls.
Disregarding the question of 'why there are children here in the first place' at least give them something to hang on to rather than just have them get thrown around the hallways like rag dolls.
They dont even have handrails!
Welp. Good luck kids!

It's like you read my mind locke. Ever since the rocks became Canon I've been thinking about how starfleet has impossibly low health and safety standards. It's probably the single most unrealistic thing about the universe.
Though, and from a more accountant friendly perspective,
I suppose the lack of capitalism and the total subsistence economy of the federation makes insurance payments to widowed family members irrelevant and thus makes insurance less of a mandatory affair... perhaps putting less societal pressure on casual death?
Honestly that does sound like a probable feature of mass human psychology. If there's no impact to caring for the family of a dead worker because everyone is already 100% provided for, there is less incentive for any 1 individual to care about casual death.
Potential hidden +1 for capitalism? Lol

I suppose it makes sense. If there is no money and everyone wants to work for their own improvement and the betterment of mankind...who is going to willingly choose to become the 'Safety Guy?'
Nobody. That is a brutal thankless job.
The girder installer probably thinks: "Yeah, here in the ceiling seems as good a place as any! If they dont like it what are they gonna do? Fire me? I dont even get paid for this!"
"Uh hey...where are the seatbelts?"
The seatbelt guy didnt show up today and we've gotta go. So...no seatbelts.
"Is that a good idea?"
It is what it is. Now...take us out! What are the odds that we're going to need seatbelts, just dont hit anything or come to any sudden stops! Its space! Whats the worst that could happen?

Or the catwalk across the inexplicable chasm where the bolts just give way...
"Yeah, the bolt guy didnt show to tighten those up so...its not really a safe catwalk and yeah, you gotta watch out for that giant fan..."
