Nemesis was pretty objectively bad, though.

Nemisis continued the tradition of the Star Trek Movie Curse
Star Trek 1 below average, I still like it
TWOK excellent
TSFS - Really good, not as good as TWOK but really good
TVH Really good, no curse yet
TFF - Begin the Star Trek Curse has
TUC - Excellent movie great way to end the original cast
Generations - Underwhelming, even Kirk couldn't make the Star Trek Movies great again, its the curse man
First Contact - Actually fairly well done, there were some ugh moments
Insurrection - Just absolute crap, the curse carries on
Nemisis - We break the curse in a bad way as we boldly go to where its good enough to poop on
Star Trek - We bounce back the odd movie curse is kinda over
Into Darkness - Knock Knock . . . Who's there? Its the odd film curse baby
Beyond - Not good, not bad, just there.

I will die on the hill that First Contact was a good movie. It did make the borg less scary ultimately, but it was pretty fun. And watching that initial battle with the cube on the big screen. humina humina humina

I thought Star Trek First Contact was generally well-regarded.

It's definitely well regarded, but not flawless. And not flawless in sci-fi fandom means it's open to unending ridicule.

I liked a lot of things about First Contact.
I did hate the addition of the Borg Queen to the mix, even though Alice Kriege was excellent in the role. It demystified the Borg too much and yes made them less scary.
I thought it was really the start of Star Trek going from an ensemble cast to the Data and Picard show, which really accelerated after this in the next two movies to the point that it was super irritating.

Hollywood kind of demands that, though. I disagree that First Contact started that trend... I mean, you have 3 movies based almost entirely on the Kirk-Spock dynamic in the OS cast movies (Khan, SFS, VH) with TFF focusing more on spock and then UDC circling back to more of a Kirk focus.
The Picard-Data dynamic was just a recall to the recipe of success for the franchise, not really a new trend.

That episode was pure chaos and I loved it.
The fact that they not only bought back those actors but also Alfre Woodard was awesome. It would have been nice to bring Terry Farrell back and have her and Curzan bickering would have been a great touch.
Its sad that next week is it, the end.
I will admit that I hated Kim on Voyager, but it was nice to see a rightfully demented Kim.

That episode was loads of fun. Sucks that it's ending, as this show has been such an enjoyable ride.
And now the agonizingly long wait for season 3 of Strange New Worlds continues. I realize a lot of stuff was delayed by last year's writers strike. But man, these ridiculously long stretches between seasons are tough to take. I'll probably be a senior citizen by the time season 4 airs.
Makes me miss the old-school TV days when every September would bring you a brand new season of whatever favourite show you were into.

Yes and we can just be thankful it didn't derail Tom Hardy's career.

T'Pol being back *swoon*
That deadpan delivery of "yes, the majority of the crew are Harry Kims" was just flawless.
Needed a decontamination scene though.
Kurzon was also hysterical.

Huge bummer that this series is ending. It was both more fan service and far better trek than Picard. Not something I would have thought possible at outset... Wouldn't hate another animated series based on a different crew in the wake of this.
