Not to mention...this is IT for most of that team. They have NOTHING to go to beyond the Olympics. It's not like they are returning to multimillion dollar NHL contracts or anything.
This is their ultimate goal. This is the end of the road...and they reached it at the top of the pile. Give them their moment to celebrate it how they want to. Some of these women...may never wear skates in a competitive environment again.
