Community is back tonight! Booya!

Love this quote about fan support from Joel McHale:

Quote:
You know the tremendous response . . . I think, really, it's kept our show in the conversation and created even more of a conversation about the show. So we hope that huge brush fire that the fans started will spread to other people, and will catch them on fire, and they will be burned by it.

I'm watching the late broadcast. The one at 6 PM was pre-empted by a storm watch or something, so I missed a good chunk of the beginning.

Overall a really solid episode, especially for a "normal" episode of Community. Funny how on almost any other sitcom a wedding episode would be a big deal, but on Community it's pretty run of the mill.

Britta had the best lines of the episode by far; she's evolved into such a good character since the early episodes.

In #Yay! News! RT @TVbytheNumbers: #COMMUNITY ratings jump on return, 30 ROCK gets a boost! http://bit.ly/FO3BJZ

Without the CBS comedies at 8pm, NBC got a big boost. The post-hiatus return of Community drew a season high 2.2 adults 18-49, up 46% vs. a 1.5 rating in its last new episode in early December. 30 Rock had a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating, also a season high, up 43% vs. a 1.4 rating at 8pm last week. The Office didn't get the boost, its 2.3 adults 18-49 rating (I believe ties a series low) was down 12% vs. a 2.6 rating last week. Up All Night was even with last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. Three weeks into its run, Awake steadied, its 1.6 adults 18-49 rating was even with last week.

Great news and happy for the cast for how accessible they are to the fans and how much work they've put in to make this show great, to finally get some ratings.

Last night's episode again showed the brilliance of Danny Pudi. Abed is one of the best characters on TV right now.

I trust everyone got the "alternative universe" Spock reference with the bearded Abed at the end there.

Did you miss the episode where Abed and Troy were making fake goatees?

A call-back and homage tonight. And foreshadowing.

This show is so meta even Cowperson misses the callback to a reference.

Great episode. Jim Rash's seizures to Jeff in aviators was hilarious.

This week's ratings were down 23% from last week, but it was NBC's highest rated show of the night.

So, I don't know if that's good news or bad news.

if the ratings continue to beat 30 Rock, then i don't know how NBC could rationalize cancelling it
