We were going to randomize the draw to see who picked first for the available teams. That way it is fair, and since you were third on the list, if we didn't draw, you'd be third to pick anyway. You'll have to leave, then come back to the league.

Does everyone have to be signed in to the league before anyone can start?

Double_Dion & I are out of commish till the middle of Oct. or so...
As D_D posted a while ago, he got the ring of death. We are currently waiting for MS to send us a shipping package so we can send the machine back to them for repairs. We've been told that it normally take 2-3 weeks for them to get it back to us.

If it is absolutely necessary that everyone is signed in, I could probably buy a new one before our old one gets back.

Also, now that some people have been playing the game for a while, can someone explain how this league is going to work? I understand that we simply play everyone a couple times. Do we just randomly play against each other? If someone is online, just send a request for a game or two out there then & there?
We are playing 87 games. Is it simply best record wins, or are there playoffs after that? If so what is the setup for playoffs like?

I sent an invite to a game with Biben, and it seemed like the game would've started (biben was otherwise occupied) so I think we can just start playing and let the stragglers catch up later.

edit: I'm talking official league games, not just random fun ones.

I agree. It's not like there is a set schedule, you just play when you can against someone who is also online. If you're away, just make up the games later.

However, we will have to set up a drop dead date for people to finish the season so we don't have 10 people with 87 gp, 10 with 40gp and 10 with 10gp.

I vote for let the season begin!

Basically, you log on and go to the My Leagues menu. Pick CalgaryPuck.

From there, you'll see a standings update as well as other menu options.

Basically, it shows you a list of all the users who are part of the league. On that list, it shows you with a checkmark who is online. Click on their name, and you'll be asked something along the lines of "Challenge to a league game?"

Then, the game screen will come up with your two teams. IE: You obviously can't pick a team other than yours. And then you play.

The issue is sending a league game request, but the other person is likely busy doing something else. Might be easier just to post here and say who wants a game.

I really don't care who you choose, you can just stick with Dallas, the other people have expressed no interest (no posts in this thread), so I don't care.

We have 17/30 right now and the season starts in 3 days. I would try and message everyone, but I have tons of studying to do for school + work so my time is busy else where. I'll try and PM the people who haven't signed up, but everyone has a different CP name than xbox name so I get confused, especially since a few people didn't post their xbox live name.

Also if anyone wants to trade I have Atlanta, and I'm willing to trade Colby Armstrong and Antropov, preferably for somebody fast, I already proposed a trade Gagner for Antropov to someone who's CP name I do not know.
