I still have PTSD thinking abput some of his sideline dump off passes. Felt like they would just float in the air forever like a cloud, dying to be pick-sixed.

My friends and I used to call him 'Skip' Feterik because that's what the majority of his passes ended up doing (i.e. skipping along the turf to the intended receiver).

This is a pretty good game between the Bombers and Riders. Both teams marching up and down the field as both Collaros and Harris are having fine games.

Grant with an incredible punt return, ruined by a penalty.

Oh man, illegal block on that punt return, but what an effort from Grant.

Crandall was a piece of work… thanks for the grey cup, crazy 8-10 record got it done but all our 15-3 teams couldn’t…
I remember his very next year - first pass: interception! Last pass of the season: interception. That’s summed up his year with us and if I remember correct that was the last year with coach Buono … and in comes barker right after. Man that guy was terrible!! Hard couple of years until we got a proper coach again and better owners to boot

Bombers still look like the class of the West.

The CFL refs never cease to amaze me. The kick return with a phantom illegal block thankfully was challenged. Willie Jefferson gets his helmet ripped off, and is penalized for playing without it rather than calling the obvious face mask.

Riders suck, and sorry Glen Suitor keep your moral victories for your call in show clown.

That was a good game, by far the best of the season. That's by default when you have the best QB in the league by a mile. I have to give Collaros props as his level the last few seasons has been as high as I can remember. Not sure if peak Bo was this good. Harris put up some good numbers but he always starts off like this only to cool off in the back half of the season. Looks like Bane is another good player the Stamps let get away.

That's why that 2001 ring always feels extra special to me: it was getting a ring back for all those years they should've won it but didn't.

They are actually due for another one considering two of their recent Grey Cup losses were self inflicted. Maybe Maier can go on a Crandell run.

That’d be quite nice!
He doesn’t have the leader qualities to draw problem to himself … needs to learn how to bring joy into his character. But if he can get it figured out and done for how to hit players in stride that’s really all one is after. Hopefully he can 👍

Somebody needs to inform the person running the City of Edmonton twitter account that today's game is in Vancouver...

https://twitter.com/user/status/1670099437727744001

Edit: Looks like they finally deleted the tweet after six hours, but I did manage to get a screen grab.

Ohh I think to fully make up for it, we need more titles than one or two...between the 90s and 2010s, we should've basically caught the Elks in Grey Cups won by now. But 2001 was at least one ring to make up for all that playoff heartbreak.

It takes something special to not even get a rouge through three quarters of a CFL game, but the Elks are on the verge of accomplishing that feat.
