Tomorrow's docket is kind of uninspiring:

3:00 Argentina-Saudi Arabia
6:00 Denmark-Tunisia
9:00 Mexico-Poland
12:00 France-Australia

Mexico-Poland will be interesting. Should give us another proxy of where Canada stands against mid-tier European squads, similar to Wales-USA.

The World Cup is usually the most fun tournament...but when it comes to actual quality of football, and quality matchups (Especially in the group stages) the Euro cup is way better.

But I see nothing wrong with his comment. Encouraging peace talks is never a bad thing, especially from people with large platforms like Infantino.

Yeah, for the most part tomorrow looks like an ass-kicking contest. The only one that should be close is Mexico/Poland and the Aussies could potentially put up a fight because France has choked in the past.

The Saudi game should be ridiculous unless some of the Argentineans come down with the patented 'Saudi Wallet Flu.'

I can't wait for the Poland game. It should be a great test for Poland and their aging squad. Plus Mexico has the best kits in the WC, so it will be a treat for the eyes

The away kit I assume?
Just looked it up, pretty cool. Very original.

They are trying a new way of actually counting the time when balls out of play or a stoppage of play

Head of ref association announced it before the tournament to expect 10+ minutes added time in games this tournament

Meant to combat time wasting

That’s awesome. This needed to be done a long time ago and hopefully it does cut out time wasting.

Piloting a new rule at the World Cup. What could go wrong?

If this sticks some of those COCACAF qualifiers in Honduras or El Salvador could become 3 and a half hour long affairs with like an hour of stoppage time added.

Maybe the Scots should re-hire Fergie then for qualifying 2026 and put club focus on cardio for the 20 extra minutes per half.

So this is pretty great. Grealish told a fan with with cerebral palsy that he’d do this celebration when he scored next, and then did it at the World Cup which was his next goal.

Props to Jack Grealish

Was the old way just the officials taking a guess at how much time to add? Surprised this wasn't rectified decades ago.

Wait, shouldn't he shut up and play. How dare he support a fellow human.

Great on him in all seriousness.

Entertaining first half watching the Saudis playing a very high defensive line. They've caught Argentina offside 7 or 8 times high up the pitch, including a disallowed VAR goal (though I thought shoulders didn't count?) So it must be disappointing for them to be so disciplined but have given away a stupid grabbing in the box penalty early on.
