How long is it taking to get in the door with staff having to confirm each person's vaccination + identity? Is being at the Saddledome at 6:30pm a safe time for making puck drop tonight?

The home opener was like 3 minutes to get in. The vaccine check and ticket check are different lines.

You should be good. They have several lanes at each entry way to check your info, it's quite quick.

Went to catch "Happy Hour" during the home opener, so was there fairly early. But the vaccine check and ticket check took about 30 seconds each, if that. And this was back before the Alberta Health QR codes.

I was there for the second game vs. Philly, got here about 7:30 for an 8:00 game. Lineup to get in was easy as anything. They said they didn't have the reader for the QR codes.

It’s an iPhone app. I have it. I imagine you can also get it for Android.

It's probably a question of whether they want to make ushers use their own personal phones...when they probably aren't supposed to have them on duty otherwise...
I'd imagine someone must have made/making a simple scanner for exactly this purpose.

You could always run the app on a small tablet.
A bigger issue, from the reviews I've read, is that the app itself is poorly designed and doesn't actually specify whether the person with the QR code is fully vaccinated or not. It only verifies that the code itself is valid.

Probably. But the cheapest iPhone or iPad could do it. There’s actually not that many ticket checkers at a time. Maybe a dozen?

Unvaccinated people can’t get a code so how would that be an issue?

Apparently you can get a code with a single dose. There have been complaints about that on the app stores.

last night, while in the "vaccine" line, the couple ahead of us were absolutely SHOCKED that they needed 2 doses of the the vaccine to enter the dome. They were adamant the Flames website said it wasn't a requirement.
Then as my buddy and I were filing past them, I saw their paper game tickets and my buddy was wondering why i was laughing so hard.
(sorry not sorry)

Entry last night couldn't have been smoother either.
25 minutes prior to puck drop and the proof of vaccine line was free flowing to the point where it took roughly 30 seconds to have the vaccine record and my ID verified. The ticket and security lines were a few minutes wait, but really nice to see that the vaccine passport is not causing a bottleneck.

I would have laughed too, but then hoped they were just dumb (somehow printed their tickets) and not scammed.
