Yeah for sure, seemed very awkward. Just assumed he'd use his shoulder or blocker. I wonder if Martinez did get a tiny piece of that on his stick. Should have been a pretty routine save from that far out.

Someone should send that clip of Fleury apologizing to his teammates and taking accountability for the goal allowed, to Mike Smith

Don't think I've ever seen a playoff goal on a hailmary final shot before the period buzzer.

I’m truly convinced that people who don’t think Marc Andre Fleury is a Hall of Fame goalie have never seen him play.

Fleury standing on his head. Feels like the Avs' inability to find the back of the net is gonna come back to bite them here.
Edit: just as I finished typing that, Colorado scored, haha.

Fleury is saving the Knights here. Colorado made about 5 scoring plays in the past five minutes.

This is such a weird series.
Both of these teams are obviously outstanding, but it's like they take turns beating the piss out of each other game by game. First game, Avalanche murder them. Games 3,4, the Golden Knights take their turn to commit violent homicide. Then this game. Very strange. It's like a completely lopsided series but every game the teams flip a coin to decide which role they get to play.

Apparently his name is John Bartlett and he’s called over 500 NHL games (though I’ve never heard him before this week).
He’s calling it exactly like Bob Cole. He doesn’t overburden you with details you don’t care about, like where a guy played junior.
It’s a buildup as the play develops, followed by a crescendo of excitement in the direction of the guy who made the play. No excessive verbiage, it’s more emotion.
Top drawer stuff.

Bartlett is pretty darn good.
I'm starting to enjoy this HNIC panel. Swap out Cassie for Kelly and it's pretty darn good. Jennifer Botterill is pretty insightful without being preachy. Bieksa is funny and gives good perspective being a former player.
