Every single new stadium will have this. Its one of those things that you can charge a bazillion dollars for as opposed to the $150-$250 per seat you can charge for regular seats.

In 30 years people will look back and go "haha, there was a time when they had regular seats at field level". It was always coming as boxes are the easiest revenue builder for any sports team.

If you can get $150000 revenue for a box that divides the lower and second deck, you can get $350000 to half a million for a box that puts you on the field. In the same footprint as like 10 seats at $15000 ($150000).

This team has been so fun to watch so far.

Almost can't believe we will still add Springer to this lineup.

And Ray too. I think how well we do to this season is how we manage the SP.

If we can get minimal DL time out of Ryu/Ray/Matz (10 day dl time max) then we can have an effective top 3 because I think Matz and Ray have the stuff to be number 2/3 starters. Than we can cycle like 8-10 pitchers through the other spots. We’re going to do a ton of assignments/Callups but I think we can cobble together something. I’m not expecting Pearson to break out but if he can give us 70 effective innings I’ll be happy enough.

Makes me wonder if NHL teams have explored putting box seats right to the boards itself at ice level? Don't know if it would wrap around the entire rink, or just to the sides of penalty box and players bench. But with the trend for new stadiums being the rave, you figure NHL owners with their arenas would want those if they can get them. They like the NBA should want to make the seats the closest to the action as expensive as possible.

This may have been explored though, and isn't that practical. So stick with regular seats up to the glass, and a club below the lower bowl seats is determined best.

I'm cautiously optimistic. It's stating the obvious, but the existing team from last year hadn't won anything, and arguably they were a disappointment last year collectively. I do think they're on a very good path, with some solid additions, but this still isn't the year. I'm enjoying the early success, but next year is where they hopefully really start adding. This is a year of seeing who's a keeper and who isn't for the long term push ahead.

Yes. It's just smart, especially in a sport like baseball. If the Jays do this, I hope they go overboard with it and extend it out as much as possible.

Too much positive talk about Rangers ballpark and not how garbage the Rangers are as an organization.

On the whole I agree, but do you not think a wild card berth is in the picture? I think it's pretty reasonable if the pitching holds up...which I know is a big if.

I think the Starting Lineup and Bullpen are basically set for what we will have going forward.

Starting Pitching is where we need to improve. We are missing a 2 and 3 starter.

However, it will be easy to pick up salary this year at the trade deadline, and a lot of other teams having pitching questions as well.

Realistically, we need a hard throwing ace and push Ryu to the #2 slot.

A big trade for an ace will happen in the next 12 months IMO

The Yankees picked up Odor.

Of all the teams....seriously?

I sure hope they don't "Gio Urshela" him somehow.

The Blue Jays had him at one point and let him go. The Yankees picked him up and he turned into a good player.

The Yankees took Urshela when he was waiver wire fodder and turned him into an all star caliber starting third baseman.

Upside: Jays game that actually starts after I'm off work.
Downside: Tanner Roark on the mound.

If that happened the Rangers would look stupid which is awesome because the Rangers are trash...but then the Yankees would look smart. Best to have it blow up in the faces of the Yankees, but then the Rangers would look smart...don’t know how to process my sports hate.
