The wait for that schedule is agonizing!

Will general ticket sales be announced with the schedule? Do we know? There are a couple seats right in front of me I wouldn't mind grabbing so that I could bring a friend.

I assume you mean single-game general sales? I doubt the date for general ticket sales will be announced then. Even if it is, I'd suspect the date ticket sales actually open will be sometime in the future.

July 4th I'll be on Vancouver Island. So an away fixture to Pacific will be my only selfish request, however unlikely it will be.

I saw somewhere online that the schedule drops at 1:00pm, presumably Mountain time. Kind of hoping Eastern, which would be in 3 minutes.

They'd likely have games actually on Canada Day.

The top three Clubs will move to a playoff series in order to proceed to the Finals 2020. At the conclusion of the season 1st place will earn a bye to the Finals 2020 while the 2nd and 3rd place teams will compete in a playoff to see who advances.

After listening to our many fans and supporters, the overall schedule has undergone some exciting changes including:

Over 90% of the matches will be played on holidays or weekends in 2020,
Weeknight matches focused around good times and summer nights,
2020 will introduce Friday Night Games – a new tradition for CPL fans to establish
All 8 Clubs will play on Canada Day
All the final Matches of the season will all be played simultaneously on October 4, 2020.

Am I the only one who can't actually see the 2020 schedule via that link?

Not a fan of the 3 team playoff. Feels like a cop out that the top team in the league doesn't win the championship, but I can understand why they would do it given that the majority of the league were not in the running for the last 2 months of the season. I wasn't a fan of the split season either.

I think a 3-team playoff is actually the best case scenario. 1st gets a reward for finishing tops for the season, which I like more than 1v4, 2v3.

And the actual schedule doesn't seem to be refreshed online yet.

The only thing that concerns me with teh playoff is that the top team would get a 13 day break between games if they don't play the playoff game right away.

It should be last game is the 4th - playoff game is the 7th and final is the 10th.

However, I could see them making it a home and away for both the playoff and the final, which in my opinion would be an abortion.

Come on CanPL - update that web site. I can only keep this level of arousal going for so long!

A few quirks - our first 5 home games are York, Pacific, York, Valour, Valour. We also start and end the season in Hamilton.

Only 3 mid-week home games. 2 Friday nights. Lots of Saturday afternoons. No long away stretches like we had last year. Pretty pleased overall.

That looks like a great schedule. Way better format then last year too. I'm excited.

I am a bit concerned about the timing of the playoffs. At a distance it seems like the 1st place team would have to wait 20 days before playing again. The last game of the regular season is the 4th. there is the October 5-13 international break. As well as daylight forcing the first playoff game to the weekend ie the 17th. Making the 24 and 31st the final.

If that is the case, I would prefer the Cavalry finish in 2nd place, and come in with momentum to the final rather then putzing around for three weeks.

Only two non-holiday weekday games is a pretty great schedule. Especially with having to work around the horses.

The Cup games are on weekdays, but that's OK.

Can't wait to face an MLS club again. Fun times.
