For a purportedly respected stats guy in the community it's kind of weird to see him base an opinion of relevance on whether the rival fantasy dog piles or not on him in discussions.

Then again, could be a basement blogger kid. Would explain the bullheadedness.

Didn't you know that anyone with a Tableau account can now be considered a "data scientist" and a respected stats guy?

The person above has probably never watched him. Anyone who's has watched him with any regularity would say the same. His IQ is just too high, guy thinks the game at an extremely high level and players like him almost always make it to the show.

Pelletier isn't flashy, he isn't a speedster, he is just one hell of a smart player with a great work ethic. Sutter is going to love him.
We are basically just waiting for him to have a man's body. Still a little young to play the game he really wants to play. I am fine waiting a season to see him in the NHL ( and I am higher on him than most).

Pelletier is back in third place for AHL scoring. 23gp/10g/17a/27pts. His plus-17 is tied for first in the league with Tyler Wotherspoon, as well as teammates Gawdin and Phillips. Amazing rookie pro season.

It always bothered me that Tyler's name was spelled Wotherspoon but was pronounced Witherspoon. How can an o make an i sound?

Raphael Lavoie, who I wanted that draft and the Oilers picked, only has 8pts in 19gp. And that's why I'm not an NHL scout.

There should be a lot more buzz around Pelletier and we should be a lot more excited about this kid. We need some players to step up, and I see both Pelletier and Zary doing that for us in the very near future.

If it makes you feel any better, I too liked Lavoie. There's still hope for him, much to the chagrin of any Flames fan....

Could Pelletier be the best Flames drafted prospect to come out of the farm system in the last decade?

I know guys like Johnny, Monahan ect wouldn’t qualify. But when’s the last time a Flames farm system player was one of the top AHL scorers?

Rich Chernomaz. Tore the AHL apart but couldn’t make a dent in the NHL.

Also, Fleury was a top 3 scorer in the AHL before he graduated to the Flames.
