I like Brodie, but I firmly believe that he would fade into complete obscurity on most other teams in the league.

I have never seen a more pathetic attempt at D than us being #### scared of MacKinnon. Just never mind the puck and drop the shoulder on the little prick when he is going full speed

Monahan looks so lost out there. His positioning has been terrible. He needs to start getting to the net.

Johnny looked very timid that period.

They need to be ready to start the second.

The shot guy in Colorado seems to give credit for a SOG for anything that is near the net. That wrist shot from MacKinnon on the PP was going 3 feet wide and it was called a SOG.

Better period, I think it will be a confidence booster for the Flames.

Take the puck north
Take the puck north!
Take the puck north!!!

Still somewhat hesitant to skate it up ice in a hurry. But better, at least.

Not a fan of a soft call on Brodie after no call for running our goalie. But, it’s been a fun game, we’ve given up too many quality chances again, but the flames look like they’re getting their mojo back.

He's afraid of getting hurt by going to the high danger areas. He's looking like a bit of a weakling out there in rough and tumble playoff hockey. I'm a little embarrassed for him.

Didn't realize you can slide feet first baseball style into the goalie and not be called interference...Bennett giver!

Easily the best period the Flames have played since OT of game 2. They still look nervous though, especially when MacKinnon is on the ice. But they're definitely playing him tighter in this game. Gio made an amazing play on him at one point as he came flying down the wing, and we've mostly kept him to the outside, which bodes well I think.

Offensively, I feel like if we can get the 1st goal, the guys will loosen up a bit and start playing with more confidence. If the Avs score first, I have a bad feeling things might snowball like they did in game 3. Scoring first is paramount tonight.

Flames shots all seem to be from the outside (Mostly) while Colorado is getting premium chance after chance .....

Flames defensively also letting them skate between them ... what ever happened to a D planting his back foot at the last second and lowering the boom?

This could be 3-1 heading back to the Dome ....

Far from over but not good enough for a must win game at this point.

Peters better get this cleaned up

Far FAR better period. They weren't amazing but they didn't suck, which i truly mean as a compliment.

Id really like to get Bennett onto the flames top line already.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Bennett
Tkachuk - Backlund - lindholm
Frolik - Jankowski - neal
Magiapane - ryan - Hathaway

Let's not get so damn nostalgic of what the top line did for the first half of the season. Switch it up already, it's the frigin season on the line.

Feels like the Gulutzan 'thats how we planned it, cant change things now' days
