I really like watching Rasmus play defense.
He's so smart with his stick. Times it perfectly and is aggressive at the exact right time often.
He's quickly skyrocketed up the depth chart short term and long term for this team. It's really no surprise why he's played on the top pair with Gio often this season.

Yes. The NHL is so invested in seeing the Flames lose to the Columbus Blue Jackets. It’s all so clear.

He's like 95% as deceptive as he thinks he is. You can see where his escape moves and feints might work completely in the AHL or OHL, but he's lacking that extra gear and sense of how much time he has right now, which is fine since he's a rookie. I imagine/hope his outwaiting the forechecker to try to get the final clean outlet will yield more dividends as his career goes on.

Montreal won...They are only one point above the playoff line not to mention they are lined up with Tampa currently.
BJ's are fighting for their lives

There is no need to look at that play for so long...if its not obvious the call on the ice stands.

If Gio is still a good player come the end of this contract (he could very well be), I think it's a no brainer giving him a short-term deal.

Barely playing.
I really hope Gio just keeps getting better and better, just like Francis said. He's been amazing.

1 year contracts until he can’t be in the top 6 anymore. I’ll take his a number 5/6 until he can’t anymore.

Rt. And he's also quite slow. Columbus is exposing him with that aggressive forecheck

Every once in a while I actually start to like Francis. If he would just stop with the ‘create controversy to get hits’ takes, I think he would win a lot of us over. And Ryan Leslie is great at his job! He doesn’t need to change a thing.
