Lazar looks like he's never going to be anything more than a past his prime Matthew Lombardi.

Definitely a bad game from Stone, but the rare bad game from him. He actually seems to play better with more minutes. Just a player that Gulutzan misuses all around.

I think the Knights are the only other team in the league besides the Flames that hasn't been able to beat the Oilers this year, so at least we have that in common. Should be an interesting match up.

It was a rare bad game, but it was so brutal, he may as well not have even set foot on the ice last night.
A pylon would've been just as good a partner for Kulak last night. Stone was THAT bad.

Oilers are 10-2 against the division
12 wins against the rest of the league...go figure

If the Flames miss the playoffs they're going to be looking at the 5 points they missed out on from losing to a terrible Edmonton team. Imagine if we had an extra 5 points.

Maybe I just don't think Edmonton is all that terrible TBH (they are still no good and well below predictions obviously)
They had a horrible lazy start, seem to be able to turn it on at times they have dominated many games and looked terrible in others.
They have three less wins than Calgary, its a fine line...certainly not an easy out
10-2 Vs. the division they just get killed by the east and central for whatever reason

Also, imagine if we had a functional PP. I'd say we're talking at least an extra 10 points.

Imagine if this team had a 4th line that could do any kind of things regarding offense and actually scoring more than just once when hell freezes over.

I had two beers the whole game.I was driving.
When a loudmouth a**hole gets in your face and tells you to f***off because you are wearing a Flames jersey,I don't just walk away. And yes,he was pretty drunk

maybe sometimes you should just walk away. part of maturing and properly managing a situation.
you were in the other teams barn and all. 18,00 people, there is going to be the occasional jerk, especially when booze is available.
drunks happen
it sucks when it happens but happens in the saddledome, too.
I know people who were sober and not chirping that got yelled at, beer dumped on them and spit on by flames fans just for wearing an oilers jersey.

Is that really any different than how they would be treated by their brethren in Edmonton? The Flames fans were probably trying to make them feel at home.

I'm looking forward to hearing Ron MacLean this weekend go off on how the Leafs (two instances) and McDavid were robbed. Remember he said the Tkachuk overturn was the right call last week.

Conversely, perhaps you were the jinx. As I recall, prior to your showing up things were going quite well...

This teams attitude is rubbing off on me - the same way they seem to care less about playing hard most games I'm starting to care less about watching them.
I had high hopes at the start of the year, but I've been giving out/selling my season's seats more and more as most of this team seems content with where they're at. Wish we had more Tkachuks...

Gulutzan and Cameron should walk the plank over this alone.

I'm doing the exact same thing. Should I go or sell the tix for a bit of loot and watch on tv (with the option of changing the channel)

I'd say they're an average team with high end talent sunk by massive motivation problems.
Unfortunately motivation is never an issue when they play against Calgary.
I almost get the feeling that the coaches and/or management use the Flames as a measuring stick (i.e. "look at Calgary, they just rattled off 7 in a row — why can't you guys be more like them?") and so then the players come extra motivated to protect their fragile egos and prove they're better.
