Why would you think that? Every year after the season starts they update all of the jerseys in a routine gameplay update.

58% - Go back to using retros full time
42% - Some other option (redesign, current, design includes black of some kind, etc.)

Many people here keep saying things like - "hey listen to us Flames! The vast majority of people want to go back to retros!"

I also want to throw in my anecdotal evidence that the retros are not universally loved, and also point out that our small CP community does not represent everyone who has an opinion on the uniforms.

But what I'd like to stop hearing is the whole "everybody wants the retros back!"

Because on multiple occasions the actual leaks of new jerseys are directly teh fault of EA showing someone somewhere the new game and them leaking the pictures.

No they don't.

I don't think anyone ever claimed that support for the Retros was unanimous. However 60% for a single option when there are an infinite number of other possibilities is really strong support that is hard to ignore.

No they don't.

Just because others (myself included) have selected different options, doesn't mean we're opposed to retros. I love the look of the retros, and if anything, I want a new design that's based off the retro colours.

When over 60% of the results would want the retro jerseys, or a new design that adds black to the retro look, I think it's a fair assumption that majority of people are fans of the colours the retro provides, and what we're ultimately looking for.

If you want to bring out that argument we should do a colour palette poll. Basically black included or not. I would be interested to see that, as I debated picking 'new design', but was thinking of the retro colour palette specifically.

What a strange way of interpreting the poll. Firstly, 58% is a very strong majority, especially in a poll with several different options. Next, lumping all the other categories together doesn't represent anything as there can only be one jersey. You can't interpret this as 42% of people would be happy with a jersey other than the retro. If the next most popular jersey was selected, only 11% of people would be getting their first choice. If you remove all the other options as a primary choice and just kept the top 2; ~85% of votes went to the retro which is huge. You can say that CP is a small sample size, but to say any other one jersey would satisfy close to as many fans as the retros would based on this poll is completely false.

I'm okay with black as an accent colour, as long as it never again becomes a main jersey colour (the Flaming Snothorse era remains a dark part of Flames history).

The C of Red is such a unique tradition, everything should be done to preserve it. It lets fans of Flames Nation play an active role in opposition psychological intimidation.
