Did McDonald waste time in the weight room or have an injury or something? Last year he was so spry, right now he looks like his body is too heavy.

Refs have decided they have to give the Oilers a win in Edmonton tonight. Flames have already been short handed twice and the Oilers given a penalty shot so far in the third.

I can agree with this, but it gets extremely tiresome to rehearse wishful thinking about players passed over in every draft. In actual fact MacDonald was the top-rated goalie ahead of Demko in his draft year. Sometimes this is just how it goes.

I can name a few with solid efforts. Kylington, Tuulola, Shinkaruk, Dube's been buzzing, Chiasson's been solid on the forecheck and D. Guys like Brouwer, Bennet, Gio, Brodie and Elliott all look mid season form.

I think the new play style really compliments Engelland and should hopefully lead to improved play for him.

I thought so too. I remember some surprise at McDonald being the first goalie picked that year

Uhhhh not really? It could be a lot more lopsided for us right now, we've had much more dangerous chances and a waved off goal, I think we've had a strong game in Calgary prior to our goalie change.

Me too. I think there was some concern over Demko having had hip surgery and missing so much time prior to the draft, which could have lead to the decision to go with McDonald. Unsure.
