As good as Stroman has been, I think Sanchez is going to turn into the Jays ace for many seasons to come.

Not many guys have a fastball with that much speed and movement.

Nice finish to the first for Sanshez, he looks confident.

I was just going to comment on the Attendance. The local Jays fans are some kind of pathetic bandwagoners in Toronto. Luckily the team has National support.

Wow, what's up with Tulo's bat so far? Pretty tough to watch some of his weak swings. Hopefully he can get it together.

I don't know, but he's been an absolute piece of thrash offensively since he joined the Jays. He isn't even close to the ball. He showed flashes in spring training, but nothing since opening day. I highly regret picking this guy in my fantasy baseball draft. He's just a K machine and absolute rally killer.

So does anyone know the deal with season ticket caps in Toronto? They mentioned a few times over the off season that 2016 season tickets capped out during the playoffs and that there's now a waiting list.

I guess the question is, if you can get tiny crowds like this, how could you possibly have a wait list? I don't know baseball ticket strategy, but I know most NHL teams cap season tickets in the 15-16k range with 18-20k arenas. Why the seemingly tiny season ticket cap in a 50k stadium?

Why not let 25-30k fans grab seasons if there's that much interest, and ensure 35k or higher crowds all year.

Why the F are they worrying about McCann so much?

It'll be interesting to see how Sanchez does in the 3rd. That was a heck of a job to battle back and limit the damage after he lost his control there. Could be a real sign of career progression if he's able to come back out and show that the control issue was just a minor loss of touch.

In all honesty I'd love to just see Dan and Buck. Three's a bit of a crowd, and seems there's a little too much forced "I have to speak to both Pat and Buck" banter.

What's the story with Dan Shulman? Where'd he come from?

Tulo, Martin, Goins and Pillar being close to automatic outs is really hurting the Jays offense.

lol what is this ump thinking, that 4th pitch to Arod was pretty much over the middle of the plate and he calls it a ball?

They'll figure it out as they go.

Shulman is a Canadian guy that did jays games for years at TSN before moving onto ESPN where he is still employed doing Sunday night baseball and does college basketball (or did) along with some other duties.

Just a tremendous voice and really knowledgeable about what he is doing.

Donaldson was moving around the base paths there. Good sign of nothing long term.

Tanaka's pitch count is getting up there. Would be nice to get to the bullpen early in this series.

Cola? Really?

The guy is struggling and you go after the first pitch to let him out of it? C'mon man, keep that pitch count going. Let him off the hook.

These friggin Ks and double plays are really starting to hurt. Really taking a lot of runs off the board which isn't a good thing given how bad the Jays pen has been.

The fact that the Yanks even considered looking at that slide from Pillar into second makes me think this new rule really needs to be tweaked in a huge way. That was a perfect slide. Seeing the Yanks go immediately to the phone to check it out is just wrong.
