Wideman made some stupid plays with the puck and at least one really bad penalty. If the Flames want to be respectable, he has to be solid at both ends night in night out.
I only seen the end of the game after the other game ended but Kanzig seemed pretty good. Kulak on the other hand......

Man...It's 6 am here....Stayed up all night in Scotland to watch this game (very hockey starved Canadian here.) This comeback (although, only a preseason game) was totally worth it. Love you, Flames.

Some amazing saves tonight by Berra! Horak just looked so composed, even when taking a few hits he remained on point and on the puck.

The way he plays against us I sometimes think the guy in secret is still a huge Flames fan.

Baertschi leads all forwards in ES ice time for the night. Berra has some great stats.

Glad that Sven lead the team in ice time. Nice to see the team testing him, pushing him to bigger minutes.

I think Kanzig is going to put up decent numbers back in the CHL this year. He won't ever lead the offense but he has some nice offensive instincts.

Only saw the 3rd period and OT but Galiardi's play at center looked good. Thought it might look like the Tanguay experiment. Glad it did not.

One player that stands out for me is Hanowski. +2 with 2 pts, in limited playing time. I think a lot of people are writing him off too soon.

Positionally Berra is solid. but he's so agile he can get back and make some crazy saves if he gets caught out of position. Then add his size. I truly believe this guys is the number one this season. Most goalies his size are blocking goalies , he isn't.

Hudler must have gotten hurt. Kind of wish Knight had played in this game. They gave the youngsters some minutes. I think he played less than 7 minutes in Calgary.

He also played some point on the PP which reminded me of the Tanguay experiment as well... except it didn't crash and burn.

Our new goal song should just be some crazy tribal drum beats and chanting as well.

To me Kanzig has looked better than he sounded when they drafted him.

Granlund with zero PP time. Shame. Should be one of his main strengths. I hope everyone gets a fair chance. Same with the goalies. They always say that everyone's equal in camp, but of course it's never really true.

Quoted for accuracy.

To be fair wasn't Butler going against Edmonton's top line?
