The Swiss generally learn many languages. Sven speaks four or five.

Switzerland has three main languages, depending on the area: (Swiss-) German, French and Italian. Sven and Berra are both from areas where German is spoken.

Americans win Bronze. Galchenyuk wins the game for them with 2 goals in the shoot out

I don't know if it was mentioned here, but Gerber is getting the start today.

A Swedish announcer just proclaimed Berra the best keeper in this tourney. He might have simply been commenting on his stats though.

You can thank Henrik for the 'Ovechkin-esque' backcheck on that one.

He water-skied a little bit and then quit doing even that. Very poor on his part.

whichever assistant ran the Canucks pp needs to be fired instantly

Sedins have more goals in 3 WC games on the PP than the last 6 weeks of the Canucks season

I've been out of the loop for a while, why is Beartschi not playing for Switzerland?

exactly

too bad, really. We could have two Flames players on the ice today if not for injuries ... both Sven and Backlund were already confirmed before they had to withdraw with their injuries. Plus Gerber instead of Berra in net

Yeah, that is too bad. Butler is coming back with a medal though.

Its strange, I realy dislike the Sedins as humans and I dislike Sweden almost exclusively because of their high Canucks content.

Not the country. Just the hockey team.

Its the same though, I have a hard time cheering for Canada at the WHC because of the insanely high Oilers content.

Oh well. Come on Switzerland!

Sweden has always been weird for me ... on the one hand, there have been Swedes that I really like (Forsberg, Karlsson, Eriksson, Huselius, Hagelin etc), but on the other hand, there has been a huge amount of players that I absolutely can't stand (the Sedins, Edler, Holmstrom, Erixon, Franzen etc). For no other country has the line between like and dislike been so fine for me ...

I'm the exact same way. Some teams are just much more difficult to like.

This Swedish team is very easy to dislike.
