Being that EA is one of the most greedy companies out there I do not know how they missed this opportunity. Along with buying guns and attachments they could make a killing.

Yeah BF3 had kit shortcuts you could buy, I assume they'll come to BF4 eventually.

I don't see the rpg hate when the assault grenade launcher is just as infuriating. I play hardcore with no rules, if my team blows I'll switch servers.

I haven't played too much recon in BF4 but in BF3 I mostly ran with bolt action riffles equipped with an RDS/PKS-Holo.

I played one night on a great server. Played with a squad that had 2 snipers, and they were awesome. They hid in the hills but spotted everyone, and everyone showed up on the map. The 3 of us that capped flags had a pretty easy time, along with the other squads as well. The guys actually played like real snipers, actual recon lol

Finally tried out one of the new maps last night. I like what they've done with Caspian Border. Apparently I have 27 25% XP boosts lol. I should probably use those.

If you're premium you should wait for a double XP weekend because they stack. As in you get 25% more EXP and then its doubled.

Ya I know, but I don't save any XP boosts below 50% for premium events. I think I have a few 200% boosts to use for the next one.

If you're on PC - hit ESC during the game and the bottom right it will say 'active boosts' or something - click that and all the boosters you have available will open up. Just select which % you want and off you go.

In game if you hit start button ( options button on the PS4 I think) and it will open up the game menu. The menu says like resume, scoreboard etc. Then on the right it will say boosts available. Click that and pick which one to use.

You should shell out for premium. The map packs and perks are worth it. I imagine signing up now would get you around 5-6 gold battle packs. Plus the map packs and the double xp weekends. I think premium get 1 gold a month and 1 premium battlepack a month as well.

but I don't even know how to use this stuff. I just always assumed that you were equipped with stuff as soon as you opened the battle packs. Is this right?
also map packs and perks? so if we were playing tonight we would have different maps? Am I holding us back? lol

OMG. Haha too funny.
When you open battle packs you have to go into your loadout and select them. Putting together attachments makes the weapon considerably better.
With the maps yes you are holding his back! Haha 3 of us have all the map packs, dale only bought china rising so he is 1 behind (almost 2 with the naval expansion coming soon). Close quarters map pack is actually really good IMO as I love those maps from BF3. We don't mind playing the base maps however so don't think we will ditch you .
I can help you setup the best weapons and attachments for each class
