Iginla was the guy who was fouled. He takes the PS.
If it were one of those PS because it was covered in the crease, then anyone on the ice could take it.

That is without a doubt the worst penalty call I've ever seen. Ever.

Why would you? A penalty shot is a guaranteed scoring chance whereas a PP isn't. It could be two minutes of skating into the zone and going back to yours.
I do think it should be an option if you're already on a PP and you can take a lengthy 5 on 3 as opposed to a PS and a 5 on 4.

Can't believe how much the Wings get away with.
They remind me of the 04 Flames. Hook, trip and slash so much that the refs can't call everything.

I'm watching the Detroit feed. The commentators are saying the Flames should have been pissed at those calls. Totally agree.

Cervenka seems like the type of guy who would go to the wings, much like Brunner, luckily flames had an ace to grab him by signing hudler. Hope they can continue building chemistry

It goes without saying for Hudler, but Cervenka seems like he would fit right in there with the slick passing Detriot's been demonstrating all night.

Detroit announcers aren't impressed with all the penalties either.
