That doesn't make any damn sense.
No kidding, a fourth game in the finals is a given... Any amount of funny in the joke is immediately negated by the flawed logic.

Don Cherry thinks this and the Fleury slide were equally stupid.

Neither did his celebration.

The way Fleury responds to stuff like this, and considering it came from hockey's most watched segment, I'd wager we're in for a huge battle in the coming weeks.

Was he wrong? I think he made a pretty good point, and it's a point I've heard him make before in regards to the Fleury celebration. If memory serves me, he made that point after Ovechkin's most recent ass clown celebration. Cherry got hammered for being critical of a "young exhuberant player" bringing excitement and passion into a celebration. However, he was right then and he's right now. Boudreau told Ovechkin never to do that again, and he didn't. Kruger would be wise to do the same. If you think Cherry is stupid because he's old and bobbles his sentences around, that is fine, but if you're actually interested in the logic behind the #######ized English, watch for two things:

1. Does yakupov ever pull that crazy Bullsh again, or did someone whisper in his ear?

2. What happens Feb. 19 when EDM is in LA? We all know what Sutter thinks of crazy Russians expressing their "flamboyancy"

As long as it happens once I'm fine with it. He's a kid and got excited. Hopefully a coach or teamated sat him down and that's the end of it.

Plus, L.A. will take care of it next time!

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and predict there will be absolutely zero retaliation by anyone for the Yakupov celebration.

In his intermission speech, Messier was actually referring to Fleury's second knee slide which came after he put the Flames up 3-0 in the first period. Very few people remember it because the Flames ended up losing.

As much as I hate the Coilers, I wouldn't be too upset with Yakupov's celebration. Who cares the kids scored a big goal let him celebrate whatever he can. I don't think he was hotdogging on that celebration. He wasn't pointing at the opponents or yelling obscene words. It just shows he is human... NHL is a fun league so some odd celebration after the goal is fine by me.

You're missing the point. We do see goals called off all the time, right after they are scored the ref is there waiving it off.

That didn't happen. The ref called it a goal. Then as the Oilers celebrated, then refs get together and change their mind. That's why the crowd went balistic, and that's why when Yak scores he goes full celly mode.

He got the last goal against Colorado (empty netter) and didn't do anything. I have no problems with the celebration given the way the game unfolded. It was a weird one. I would be upset if there was that kind of celebration after every goal but have no problem with that celebration in that circumstance nor with showing some emotion after scoring.

Sooooo, was Yak's ot game winning goal celebration Wed night up to the standards of the posters who seem to think he shoulda just tapped his linemates on the head and skated to the bench in game 3? (Granted, game 7 is scheduled for Thursday regardless)

Thought I'd check with the experts.

This is called "calgary puck forums".
Why an oiler fan would sign up to come troll a thread is a better question.
